Mehmet Tekin Arıburun was a Turkish soldier and statesman. He was born in then-Ottoman territory of Ishtib, Kosovo Vilayet. He was the last President to be born outside the territory of present-day Turkey.

Tekin Bingöl is a Turkish politician who serves as the Deputy Leader of the Republican People's Party responsible for political organisation since 8 May 2014. He has served as a Member of Parliament for Ankara's second electoral district since 7 June 2015, elected at the June 2015 general election. He previously served as an MP for Ankara's second electoral district between 2007 and 2011.

Bülent Tekin, Kurdish poet and writer, citizen of Turkey. Born in Mardin, he studied Chemical Engineering at Istanbul State Academy of Engineering and Architecture, and he graduated from the Construction Engineering Department of the Middle East Technical University. In the 1970s he wrote two novels, a collection of “Social Poems”, and a research document on the socialism in Allende's Chile, all four of which were confiscated by the police, thus “lost” and unpublished. He is a member of PEN, of theWriters’ Syndicate of Turkey, of Edebiyatçılar Derneği, of BESAM (Copyrights Association of Writers and Association of Mesopotamian Journalists, and an honorary member of the Association of Journalists in South Eastern Turkey. He contributed to Gırgır, a leading satirical journal. Tekin prepared a TV program of political analysis for Dijle TV. He is married with two children.

Sami Harun Tekin is a Turkish singer, musician, and poet. He is one of the founding members and the vocalist of the Turkish rock band Mor ve Ötesi.
