The Temperance Party (Norwegian : Avholdspartiet) was a political party in Norway. The party was closely associated with the Liberal Party. The party ran for election between 1907 and 1933 and had elected representatives and mayors in several municipalities around the country. As the name suggests, the main focus of the party was about alcohol and the Temperance movement. The party demanded increased education about the effects and dangers of alcohol in the educational system, confiscation of all profits on alcohol production and sales, and their ultimate goal was the total prohibition of alcohol in Norway. Hans Seip, mayor of Bergen between 1923 and 1924, was a member of the party. [3] The commander of the Salvation Army in Norway, Colonel Othilie Tonning, served as representative of the party in Kristiania's city council from 1907 to 1913.

Samnanger is a municipality in the Midhordland region of Vestland county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Tysse. Other main villages in the municipality include Haga and Bjørkheim in Nordbygda. The municipality is located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) east of the city of Bergen, Norway's second largest city. It surrounds the inner part of the Samnangerfjorden and the surrounding valleys. There are mountains that surround the municipality. The development of hydroelectric power plants started here in 1909.
Os is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. It was located in the Midhordland region, just south of Norway's second-largest city, Bergen. Due to its proximity to Bergen, Os experienced strong population growth. The administrative centre of Os was the village of Osøyro. It is the largest settlement in the municipality, with over 60% of the municipal residents living here. Other large villages in Os included Hagavik, Halhjem, Søfteland, Søre Øyane, and Søvik. On 1 January 2020, the municipality became part of Bjørnafjorden Municipality in Vestland county.

Fjell is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Midhordland. The municipality consisted of several islands west of the city of Bergen, the major ones being Litlesotra, the northern part of Store Sotra, Bildøy, Bjorøy, Misje, and Turøy. The administrative centre of Fjell is the village of Straume. Some of the villages in Fjell included Ågotnes, Fjell, Foldnes, Knappskog, Knarrevik, Kolltveit, Landro, and Sekkingstad. On 1 January 2020, the municipality became part of Øygarden Municipality in Vestland county.

The municipality existed from 1923 until its dissolution on 1 January 2020 when it was merged into the new Alver Municipality in Vestland county. The island municipality was mostly located on the island of Holsnøy, where the administrative centre of Frekhaug is located. It was located in the traditional district of Midhordland. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Skogsvåg. Other larger villages in Sund included Klokkarvik, Tælavåg, Kausland, and Hammarsland.

Bergen landdistrikt encompassed about 5 square kilometres (1.9 sq mi) of land surrounding the city of Bergen, including the present neighborhoods of Møhlenpris, Nygård, Kalfaret, Sandviken, and Ytre Sandviken as well as the mountains Fløyfjellet and Sandviksfjellet.
Sandvollan is a former municipality in the old Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. The 28-square-kilometre (11 sq mi) municipality existed from 1907 until its dissolution in 1962. It was located in the north part of what is now the municipality of Inderøy in Trøndelag county. There are two main villages in Sandvollan: Gangstad and Småland. Gangstad has a grocery store. Between the two villages lies Skjelvågen, a harbour that used to be a stop on the steam ship routes.

Fana is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county in Norway. The municipality was located in the central part of the Bergen Peninsula, south of the city of Bergen. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Nesttun. The roughly 200-square-kilometre (77 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until 1972 when it had 44,402 residents, making it one of the most populous municipalities in the nation. The area of the former municipality encompassed the southern half of the present-day Bergen Municipality in Vestland county, it specifically included the present-day boroughs of Fyllingsdalen, Ytrebygda, and Fana, as well as the southern part of the borough of Årstad.
Laksevåg is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county in Norway. The 32-square-kilometre (12 sq mi) municipality was located on the western part of the Bergen Peninsula. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Loddefjord. The municipality, which existed from 1918 until 1972, was a located a short distance west of the city of Bergen, and today it makes up the borough of Laksevåg which is part of the city of Bergen in Bergen Municipality which is now in Vestland county. The municipality was located along the Byfjorden, north of the Grimstadfjorden, and west of the Fyllingsdalen valley.
Arna is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1964 until 1972. It encompassed the northeastern part of the Bergen Peninsula, along the Sørfjorden, bordering the city of Bergen across the mountains to the west. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Indre Arna. The municipality stretched from the village of Ytre Arna to Trengereid along the coast and then inland about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) to the Espeland area. Today, the area of the former municipality makes up the borough of Arna in the city of Bergen.
Åsane is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1904 until 1972. The 71-square-kilometre (27 sq mi) municipality encompassed the northern part of the Bergen Peninsula, roughly corresponding to the present-day borough of Åsane in the city-municipality of Bergen. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Eidsvåg. The main church for the municipality was Åsane Church. Historically, the area was called Aasene, but with spelling reforms in the Norwegian language, the modern spelling has been Åsane since about 1920.

Foldereid is a former municipality in the northern part of the old Nord-Trøndelag county in Norway. The 513-square-kilometre (198 sq mi) municipality existed from 1886 until its dissolution in 1964. The municipality encompassed the area surrounding the inner part of the Folda fjord, the Innerfolda in what is now the municipalities of Nærøysund and Høylandet in Trøndelag county. The village of Foldereid, where the Foldereid Church is located, was the administrative centre of the municipality.
Røra is a former municipality in the old Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. The 29-square-kilometre (11 sq mi) municipality existed from 1907 until its dissolution in 1962. It was located at the northeastern end of the Trondheimsfjorden, just north of the towns of Verdalsøra and Levanger. It is located in what is now the southeastern part of Inderøy municipality in Trøndelag county. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Røra where Salberg Church is located.
