Terra Nova River

The Terra Nova River is a river in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

It drains an area in the centre of the island of Newfoundland, discharging into Bonavista Bay at Glovertown.

The Terra Nova River passes through the northern end of Terra Nova National Park, which derives its name from the river. The river also has a healthy run of Atlantic Salmon.

Buchans Junction is a local service district and designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador in the central part of the island of Newfoundland. It is on the banks of Mary March River near where the Mary March River flows into the northeast end of Red Indian Lake. The community is on a site first known as "Four Mile Siding" on the railway which was constructed in 1900 to connect the community of Millertown to the Newfoundland Railway at Millertown Junction. The site itself became a rail junction in 1927 when Asarco subsidiary, the Buchans Mining Company, completed a rail link from the newly formed mining town of Buchans. Ever since 1927, even after the Buchans Railway closed in 1977, the community has been known as "Buchans Junction."

The Labrador wolf is a subspecies of gray wolf native to Labrador and northern Quebec. It has been described as ranging in color from dark grizzly-gray to almost white, and of being closely related to the Newfoundland wolf. This wolf is recognized as a subspecies of Canis lupus in the taxonomic authority Mammal Species of the World (2005).

Patrick's Cove-Angels Cove is a local service district and designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is on the Cape Shore of the Avalon Peninsula. The area was first settled by James Coffey in the early 19th century. Coffey had moved to Newfoundland from County Waterford, Ireland to work at Placentia's Saunders and Sweetman firm. Sweetman's firm had sent some of their employees outward from Placentia to start farms in which to supply Sweetman's with produce. Coffey became the first resident of this community.

He represents the electoral district of Terra Nova as a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Progressive Conservative Party. He was re-elected in the 2021 provincial election.
