Yolanda Evette Griffith is an American former professional basketball player who played in both the ABL and WNBA. An eight time WNBA All-Star, she was named the 1999 WNBA MVP and the WNBA Finals MVP in 2005 when she won the WNBA championship with the Sacramento Monarchs. One of the top defensive players in WNBA's history, she was the 1999 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year and led the league in rebounds and steals two times each. In 2011, she was voted in by fans as one of the top 15 players in WNBA history. She is sometimes called by her nicknames: "Yo" and "Yo-Yo". Griffith was inducted into the 2014 Women's Basketball Hall of Fame's class on her first year of eligibility. In 2021, she was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

The 1968 NCAA University Division basketball tournament involved 23 schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball. It began on March 9, 1968, and ended with the championship game on March 23 in Los Angeles, California. A total of 27 games were played, including a third-place game in each region and a national third-place game.

Ed Cooley is an American college basketball coach and currently the head coach of the Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball program. Cooley held the same position at Providence College from 2011 to 2023, and Fairfield University from 2006 to 2011. In 2022, he received national honors as the Naismith College Coach of the Year. Additionally, he received the inaugural 2010 Ben Jobe National Coach of the Year Award.
Amos Parker Foster was an American college football and college basketball player and coach in the early 1900s. He was a 1904 graduate of Dartmouth College where he lettered in both basketball and football. Foster served as the head football coach at the University of Cincinnati (1904–1905), the University of Nebraska (1906), and Miami University (1907–1908), compiling a career college football coaching record of 30–9. He was also the head basketball coach at Cincinnati for five seasons from 1904 to 1909, tallying a mark of 30–10. After coaching he practiced law in Ohio.

Osborne Bryan "Ozzie" Cowles was an American basketball player and coach. He was the head men's basketball coach at Carleton College (1924–1930), River Falls State Teachers College (1932–1936), Dartmouth College (1936–1946), University of Michigan (1946–1948), and University of Minnesota (1948–1959). He was also the head baseball coach and assistant basketball and football coach at Iowa State Teachers College, now the University of Northern Iowa during 1923–24. In 30 seasons as a collegiate head basketball coach, Cowles compiled a record of 416–189 (.688). His teams competed in the NCAA basketball tournament six times. At the time of his retirement in 1959, Cowles ranked among the top 15 college basketball coaches of all time by number of games won. He has been inducted into the Helms Foundation Hall of Fame, the Dartmouth "Wearers of the Green," the University of Minnesota "M" Club Hall of Fame, the Carleton College Hall of Fame, and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Athletics Hall of Fame.
Jerry Michael Dunn is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head coach at Tuskegee. Dunn is a former men's basketball assistant coach at the University of Michigan, who held the title of Associate Head Coach. He previously held the same position at West Virginia University, but followed head coach John Beilein to Michigan after the 2006–2007 season. Dunn served as the head coach of Penn State Nittany Lions basketball from 1995 to 2003. His twin brother Terry Dunn was the head coach at Dartmouth Big Green men's basketball from 2004–05 to 2009–10.
Elmer Andrew Lampe was a basketball coach and American football player and coach. Lampe was the head basketball coach at the University of Georgia from 1938 to 1946 and at Dartmouth College from 1946 to 1950, tallying a career college basketball coaching mark of 123–136. He served as the head football coach at Carleton College from 1932 to 1933 and at Carroll College—now Carroll University—in Waukesha, Wisconsin from 1934 to 1937, compiling a career college football coaching mark of 24–11–7.
George Henry Schildmiller was an American football player and coach. He played for Dartmouth College and coached at the University of Maine in 1909 and at Oregon State University in 1910.
Courtney Rosholt Banghart is an American basketball coach who is currently the head women's basketball coach at North Carolina. Prior to North Carolina, she served as head coach at Princeton from 2007 to 2019.
George Warren Grebenstein was an All-American basketball player at Dartmouth College as a junior in 1905–06. A forward, he was the first Dartmouth player to be named an All-American while leading the Big Green to a 16–2 record. The Helms Athletic Foundation retroactively named Dartmouth the national champion that season since it occurred prior to the NCAA tournament. He graduated from Dartmouth in 1907. Grebenstein went on to coach the Harvard men's basketball team in 1907–08 and 1908–09. He compiled a record of 5–19.
The 1960–61 Princeton Tigers men's basketball team represented Princeton University in intercollegiate college basketball during the 1959–60 NCAA University Division men's basketball season. Franklin Cappon began the season as head coach. In January 1961, Cappon suffered a mild heart attack, and Jake McCandless took over his role as head coach following Cappon's hospitalization. The team captain was Donald Swan. The team posted a 9–2 record under Cappon and then a 9–6 record with McCandless at the helm. The team played its home games in the Dillon Gymnasium in Princeton, New Jersey. The team was the champion of the Ivy League, earning an invitation to the 24-team 1961 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament.
Sharon Dawley is the former head coach of the University of Massachusetts Amherst women's basketball team. She had previously served as head basketball coach for Tufts University, the assistant coach and associate head coach at Dartmouth College and the head coach for the University of Vermont.
