Tessa Rain is a New Zealand indie folk singer-songwriter best known for her collaboration with Fly My Pretties. She wrote the songs Carrier Pigeon and Smoke Me from The Return of Fly My Pretties , and Mauri from A Story. Her debut solo album "Dirt Poems" was released in August 2010. [1]
Tessa Rain is also known for her past collaborations with Age Pryor; together they released the album Homerecordings. The song Funny Shadow from this album was written by Rain and was later featured in the Miramax film Eagle vs Shark . [2]
In 2006, Rain was the subject of a 45-minute interview broadcast nationally on Radio New Zealand National, where she performed several songs including Smoke Me. [3] In 2007, Rain returned to Radio New Zealand National for another live broadcast performance with Jess Chambers. [4]
Rain has also made appearances as a harmony singer and has contributed to several popular recordings, including Jess Chambers and the Firefly Orchestra, Age Pryor's Shanks' Pony and City Chorus, and Ryan Prebble's Fruits. Outside of Fly My Pretties tours and in addition to performing as a solo artist, she has performed or toured with Age Pryor, Ryan Prebble, Eva Prowse, and Jesse Rivest.

In July 2023, it was announced that Nash would be joining 10,000 Maniacs as their new lead singer.

Kasey Chambers is an Australian country singer-songwriter and musician born in Mount Gambier to fellow musicians Diane and Bill Chambers. Her older brother is musician and producer Nash Chambers. All four were members of family country-music group Dead Ringer Band in Bowral, New South Wales from 1992 to 1998; Chambers launched her solo career thereafter. Five of her twelve studio albums have reached No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, Barricades & Brickwalls, Wayward Angel, CarnivalRattlin' Bones, and Dragonfly. In November 2018 she was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame and has won an additional 14 ARIA Music Awards with nine for Best Country Album. Dragon are a New Zealand rock band which was formed in Auckland in January 1972, and, from 1975, based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The band was originally fronted by singer Graeme Collins, but rose to fame with singer Marc Hunter and is currently led by his brother, bass player and co-founder Todd Hunter. The Wreckers were an American country music duo formed in 2005 by Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp, both of whom had solo recordings before the duo's foundation. In 2006, the duo released its debut album Stand Still, Look Pretty, which produced a number one single on the Billboard Hot Country Songs in its lead-off single "Leave the Pieces". The album accounted for a top 10 hit on the same chart in "My, Oh My" as well. After its release, both Branch and Harp returned to being solo singers. Harp has since had top 40 country success of her own with the single "Boy Like Me".

Fly My Pretties is a collaboration of musicians originally from Wellington, New Zealand who are known for coming together to record live albums, in various locations in New Zealand. The different musical backgrounds of the members make for an eclectic mix of songs on their releases. Fly My Pretties was the brainchild of Barnaby Weir, front man of the Black Seeds and Mikee Tucker of Loop Recordings Aot(ear)oa. The objective: To meet, exchange ideas, and then perform and record the results in front of a live audience.

Michael Caruso is an American singer-songwriter, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 23, 1954. He studied both music and theatre at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Manhattan then later moved to the West Coast where he was employed as a songwriter for Homegrown Music, Geffen Music Group, Sony Music Publishing and Chrysalis Music. A long time collaborator of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement of Flight of the Conchords, he appears in their live shows as a string section of one, 'The New Zealand Sympathy Orchestra' playing cello, and also bass, keyboards, percussion, drums and singing backing vocals. He's featured in tours of North America, the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand from 2001 to 2018. Collins graduated from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School in 1999 with a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Acting).
