Texas Tank Bernard was an American professional wrestler from Texas.
He wrestled in the South during the 1970s. Tex decided to go to wrestle in New York about 1978, [1] including a wrestling promotion out of New York City, New York called Vega International Wrestling Promotions, promoted by Osvaldo Vega.
Tex had always been big, even when he was a child. [1] He weighed 501 pounds in 1979. [2] Tex also had experience in judo, jiu jitsu, and karate. [1] His finishing move in the wrestling ring was the Big Splash. [3]
During his time with Vega International Wrestling Promotions, he had many bloody wrestling matches with wrestler Mike DiBlanco. [2] In 1979, after wrestling with Vega Promotions, Tex also wrestled with some World Wrestling Federation (WWF) wrestlers including Sammy Rivera and S. D. Jones. [4]
The Ring is an American boxing magazine that was first published in 1922 as a boxing and wrestling magazine. As the sporting legitimacy of professional wrestling came more into question, The Ring shifted to becoming exclusively a boxing-oriented publication. The magazine is currently owned by Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Enterprises division of Golden Boy Promotions, which acquired it in 2007. Ring began publishing annual ratings of boxers in 1924.
Frank Donald Goodish was an American professional wrestler who earned his greatest fame under the ring name Bruiser Brody. He also worked as King Kong Brody, The Masked Marauder, and Red River Jack. Over the years Brody became synonymous with the hardcore wrestling brawling style that often saw one or more of the participants bleeding by the time the match was over. Vincent James McMahon, better known as Vince McMahon Sr., was an American professional wrestling promoter. He is best known for running the Capitol Wrestling Corporation from 1953 to 1982, and being the father of his successor, Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

Terrence Funk is an American semi-retired professional wrestler and actor. Funk is known for the longevity of his career – which has spanned more than 50 years and includes multiple short-lived retirements – and the influential hardcore wrestling style he pioneered in the latter part of his career.
James Arthur Harris, better known by his ring name Kamala, was an American professional wrestler. Nicknamed "The Ugandan Giant", Kamala portrayed a fearsome and simpleminded Ugandan. He wrestled barefoot, clad only in a loincloth, his face painted with war paint and two stars and a moon painted on his torso. During his ring entrance, Kamala sported an African mask and wielded a spear and shield. He is best known for his appearances with the World Wrestling Federation over the course of numerous runs in the company between 1984 and 1993.
Edward George Farhat was an American professional wrestler best known by his ring name The Sheik. He is also one of the originators of what became the hardcore wrestling style, as the promoter of Big Time Wrestling, and the uncle of ECW wrestler Sabu. Farhat promoted his shows at Cobo Hall in Detroit and was the booker for Frank Tunney's shows at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto from 1971 to 1977.
Allen James Coage was an American judoka and professional wrestler. John Lanza is an American retired professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, Blackjack Lanza. Along with his long-term tag team partner, Blackjack Mulligan, Lanza was one-half of The Blackjacks: "black cowboy hat-wearing, cowboy boot-stomping, rugged hombres who drew money wherever they went". Lawrence J. Simon, better known by the ring name, Boris Malenko, was an American professional wrestler and professional wrestling trainer. He is best known for his appearances with Championship Wrestling from Florida and Big Time Wrestling in the 1960s and 1970s as a Russian heel. The Cole Twins were a professional wrestling tag team consisting of twin brothers Kent and Keith Cole. They competed in North American regional and independent promotions, however the twins were best known for their stint in World Championship Wrestling during the early 1990s. During their time in WCW, they feuded with several tag teams including Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce, The Wrecking Crew, Harlem Heat and The Hollywood Blonds.
James Prudhomme, was a Canadian professional wrestler, better known by the ring names Brute Bernard or Jim 'Brute' Bernhard.
50th State Big Time Wrestling was a professional wrestling promotion headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii in the United States that promoted professional wrestling matches throughout Hawaii. The promotion was founded by Al Karasick in 1936 and became a member of the National Wrestling Alliance in 1949. In 1961, Karasick sold the promotion to "Gentleman" Ed Francis. Along with his business partner Lord James Blears, Francis created a "golden age" of professional wrestling in Hawaii that lasted throughout the 1960s and 1970s, with 50th State Big Time Wrestling becoming one of Hawaii's most-watched programs. The promotion came to an end in 1979 when Francis sold his interest to Steve Rickard.
