Thair Ahmed (born 1 July 1959) is an Iraqi football coach, who coaches Al-Talaba. [1] [2]
Ahmed began the 2018-2019 season with leading of Amanat Baghdad for 14 games, then he moved to his glory club Al-Talaba SC. He is coaching the elegant boys now.

The Iraqi Premier Football League, or simply the Iraqi Premier League, is the top level of the Iraqi football league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it is operated by the Iraq Football Association (IFA) and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Iraq Division One.

The 2008–09 Iraqi Premier League was the 35th edition of the competition. It started on 1 November 2008 and ended on 16 July 2009. 27 teams from all over the country competed for the title. Erbil won the title by defeating Al-Najaf in the final via penalty shootout after a goalless draw. It was Erbil's third league title in a row. The two teams would have qualified for the 2010 AFC Cup, but were disqualified due to FIFA's suspension of the Iraq Football Association.

Abdul-Ghani Shahad is an Iraqi professional football coach and former player who is current manager of Naft Al-Wasat SC in the Iraqi Premier League. Abdul-Ghani started his playing career at Al-Najaf FC and remained a one club man throughout his career. Upon his retirement in 1999, he went in coaching and managed his hometown club Al-Najaf for 7 years, achieving a second place finish. He moved around and managed a number of Iraqi sides, before winning his first Iraqi Premier League title with Naft Al-Wasat. Abdul-Ghani went on to be appointed as manager of the Iraqi U23 national team, where he guided the team towards Olympic qualification and a third place finish in the AFC U-22 Championship.
The First Mother of all Battles Championship, commonly referred to as the 1991 Iraqi Elite Cup, was the first occurrence of the Iraqi Elite Cup. This edition of the competition was organised by Al-Talaba. The top six teams of the 1990–91 Iraqi National League were supposed to compete in the tournament, but Al-Naft withdrew from the competition and were replaced by seventh-placed Al-Najaf. All the matches were played at Al-Shaab Stadium. The competition started on 2 September and ended on 13 September where, in the final, Al-Zawraa defeated Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya 3–1 after extra time.
The 2015–16 season was Al-Talaba Sports Club's 41st consecutive season in the Iraqi Premier League, the top-flight of Iraqi football. Having finished in 5th of Group 2 in the previous season, and having withdrawn from the Iraq FA Cup, Al-Talaba only competed in the Iraqi Premier League.
The 2001–02 season, covering the period from 22 September 2001 to 17 May 2002, was Al-Talaba Sport Club's 27th consecutive season in the Iraqi Elite League, top-flight of Iraqi football. The Baghdad derbies are a series of derby matches between four Baghdad-based football clubs: Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, Al-Shorta, Al-Talaba and Al-Zawraa, collectively known as the 'Popular Teams'. They are the four most successful teams in the history of Iraqi football, and league games between the clubs are played at the neutral venue of Al-Shaab Stadium to accommodate more spectators. The match between Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and Al-Zawraa is often referred to as the Iraqi El Clásico.

Ali Hadi Mohsin was an Iraqi professional football player and manager. He played as a defender for Al-Zawraa and Al-Talaba, winning several titles with the clubs; he also played in Lebanon, for Al-Safa and Al-Ahed.
