Format

The game features celebrity teams competing in music-themed challenges, such as "Mixtape Medley Showdown", "Slay It, Don't Spray It", "Wheel of Musical Impressions" and "Take On Mo". [1]

Production

In December 2021, it was reported that the BBC would be developing a British adaptation of That's My Jam with Mo Gilligan as host. [2] In August 2022, the series was officially announced, with filming taking place in Los Angeles. [3] In December 2022, it was announced that the show would premiere on BBC One on 17 December 2022. [4]

Reception

Despite its success in the US, the show received poor reception from UK audiences and critics. Jack Seale of The Guardian gave the show two-out-of-five stars, calling the show "awkward". [8] Michael Hogan of The Daily Telegraph gave the show one star out of five, criticizing the lack of British participants and calling it "embarrassing" and "clattering". [9] Katie Timms of The Plymouth Herald gathered audience reactions which mainly gave negative feedback, some deemed it as "the worst programme on Saturday night television". [10]

He currently co-hosts The Big Narstie Show on Channel 4, and is a judge on The Masked Singer UK since the second series in 2020, and a judge on The Masked Dancer UK since 2021. In 2022 Gilligan took a break from The Masked Dancer UK due to work conflicts, and was replaced by Peter Crouch.

The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan is a British late-night chat show presented by comedian Mo Gilligan, that first aired on Channel 4 on 19 July 2019. Similar to other late night chat shows, the programme includes a house band, live audience and comedy sketches as well as interviews with celebrities and other guests. The show took inspiration from the 1990s entertainment show TFI Friday.

That's My Jam is an American music game show. Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the series is based on the music-themed segments of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. It premiered on NBC with a preview episode on November 29, 2021, ahead of its timeslot premiere on January 3, 2022.

The second series of the British version of The Masked Dancer premiered on ITV on 3 September 2022, and concluded on 22 October 2022. The series was won by actress Heather Morris as "Scissors", with actor Adam Garcia finishing second as "Onomatopoeia", and dancer/choreographer Bruno Tonioli placing third as "Pearly King".

Ralph & Katie is a BBC television drama series, a spin-off of The A Word, about the lives of a couple with Down syndrome. The six-part series, handled by a writing team made up predominantly of people with disabilities, began broadcast in October 2022. Disney+ picked up the programme across all of Europe, except the UK.
