Thaung Su Nyein (Burmese : သောင်းစုငြိမ်း; born 1977 [1] ) is a Burmese businessman. He founded Information Matrix, a media company, which publishes 7Day Daily, one of Myanmar's highest circulated news journals. [2] He is the son of Win Aung, a former Burmese foreign minister. [2] He served as 7Day's editor-in-chief. [3] He studied computer science at City College of New York but exited after his 3rd year to return to Myanmar. [4]

Burmese language language spoken in Myanmar

The Burmese language is the Sino-Tibetan language spoken in Myanmar where it is an official language and the language of the Bamar people, the country's principal ethnic group. Although the Constitution of Myanmar officially recognizes the English name of the language as the Myanmar language, most English speakers continue to refer to the language as Burmese, after Burma, the older name for Myanmar. In 2007, it was spoken as a first language by 33 million, primarily the Bamar (Burman) people and related ethnic groups, and as a second language by 10 million, particularly ethnic minorities in Myanmar and neighboring countries.

7 Days News is a private weekly newspaper published in Burma. it was one of the best selling journals in Myanmar. It was suspended for one week for publishing front page news on Aung San Suu Kyi in November 2010. Other publications also suspended were The Voice Weekly, Venus News, Pyithu Khit, Myanmar Post, The Snap Shot and Myanmar Newsweek. Thaung Su Nyein, the CEO of 7 Days News Journal, is son of Win Aung, Ex-minister of Foreign Affair of Myanmar Government.

Win Aung was a Burmese military officer and politician who served as the 17th Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1998 until 2004.

He is married to Su Su Soe Nyunt and has 2 sons. [4]

Maung Aye Burmese military officer

Vice-Senior General Maung Aye is a Burmese military official who was Vice Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council (SPDC), the ruling military junta of Burma, from 1993 to 2011. Maung Aye was the second highest-ranking member of the SPDC.

The print, broadcast and online media of Burma has undergone strict censorship and regulation since the 1962 Burmese coup d'état. The constitution provides for freedom of speech and the press; however, the government prohibits the exercise of these rights in practice. Kyemon is a state-owned Burmese language daily newspaper based in Yangon, Myanmar. Along with Myanmar Alin, Kyemon is one of two Burmese language national newspapers in the country. Kyemon tends to carry more human interest stories whereas Myanmar Alin is more geared towards publishing government propaganda.

Zaw One was a Burmese actor and singer. He was famous as Thingyan Minthar Gyi in Myanmar.
