The April Maze are a British/Australian alternative folk duo consisting of Todd Mayhew (vocals, guitar, banjo) and Sivan Agam (vocals, cello, guitar). They issued their first release in 2008 and have toured Australia, New Zealand, UK, Germany and Canada. [1]

Background

Sivan Agam grew up in Harrow, England and studied Art and Theatre. [2] [3] Todd Mayhew was raised in Cairns, Queensland, Australia, [4] and is the Great Grandson of Isaac O Stringer (The Bishop Who Ate His Boots). Sivan and Todd met in shared accommodation in 2006 in Coburg (Melbourne) and began to connect musically. The two were married in October 2011 and had 'the words from one of our songs, Two Dogs, includes our wedding vows'. [5] In November 2012, their album ‘TWO’ was listed in Spotify’s Top 100 most popular new releases after receiving more than 70,000 plays in its first week. [6] They have released three singles, one EP, and three albums. The band raised $20,395 to produce their album Sleeping Storm using the Pozible crowd funding platform, [7] which was released in 2015. <i>Sounds of Silence</i> 1966 studio album by Simon & Garfunkel

Sounds of Silence is the second studio album by American folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel, released on January 17, 1966. The album's title is a slight modification of the title of the duo's first major hit, "The Sound of Silence", which originally was released as "The Sounds of Silence". The song had earlier been released in an acoustic version on the album Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M., and later on the soundtrack to the movie The Graduate. Without the knowledge of Paul Simon or Art Garfunkel, electric guitars, bass and drums were overdubbed under the direction of Columbia Records staff producer Tom Wilson on June 15, 1965. This new version was released as a single in September 1965, and opens the album.

Its lead single, "Happy Little Pill", reached the top 10 on Australian music charts. In 2015, he released his fourth extended play, Wild, followed by his debut studio album, Blue Neighbourhood. The song was released as the lead single for what was meant to be their third studio album, Life on Mars. However, due to complications with their label, Warner Bros. Records, the album was shelved. They were subsequently signed to Sony Music and the album was retitled The Veronicas, but "Lolita" did not appear on the record. The song was later included on their Spotify compilation album Untouched.

Records, the album was to be issued under the title Life on Mars with a 2012 release date before it was pushed back and eventually shelved.
