The Babysitter is a 1969 American exploitation film directed by Don Henderson.
The movie was a big commercial success for Crown International Pictures, who distributed. It led to a 1970 sequel, Weekend with the Babysitter. [1]
An Assistant District Attorney is about to prosecute members of a motorcycle gang for murder when he gets blackmailed because of an affair with a teenage babysitter, Candy.
Variety called it "an L.A. - made sexploiter that finally emerges as a bit more than that by dint of heavy suggestion that middle-aged middle-class wife does not pay enough sexual attention to middle-aged middle-class husband. A cliche... but at least an unusual cliche to be found in sexploiter trapping." [2]
The Los Angeles Times said it "is just as sordid and trashy as any ticket buyer could hope yet has some scenes of true merit." [3]
