Tid för tystnad – Marie Fredrikssons ballader is a compilation album by Swedish singer-songwriter Marie Fredriksson, released on 28 November 2007 by Capitol Records in conjunction with Fredriksson's own independent record label Mary Jane/Amelia Music. It was compiled by Fredriksson alongside her husband Mikael Bolyos and former EMI executive Kjell Andersson, and consists of personal favourites among her previously recorded ballads, along with new songs "Ordet är farväl" and "Ett bord i solen". Both of these tracks were issued as airplay-only promotional singles in Sweden. The latter is a Swedish version of "A Table in the Sun", a song from her 2004 English album The Change.
La Ballade des Dalton is a 1978 French animated film written and directed by René Goscinny, Morris, Henri Gruel and Pierre Watrin starring the comic book character Lucky Luke. Two different adaptations of the film in book form were both published in French in 1978. The first, adapted by Guy Vidal, was in text form rather than comic strip, and was accompanied by images from the film. The second was a comic strip adaptation by an uncredited Pascal Dabère and formed part of the book, La Ballade des Dalton et autres histoires.
The Ballade des pendus, literally "ballad of the hanged", also known as Epitaphe Villon or Frères humains, is the best-known poem by François Villon. It is commonly acknowledged, although not clearly established, that Villon wrote it in prison while he awaited his execution. It was published posthumously in 1489 by Antoine Vérard.
Molly Malone – Balade irlandaise is an album by French singer-songwriter Renaud, released on 23 November 2009 on EMI Records. It is a collection of traditional-style Irish folk songs translated into French, an idea that had been maturing in Renaud's mind for almost two decades. Le Testament is a collection of poetry composed in 1461 by François Villon. Le Testament, comprising over twenty essentially independent poems in octosyllabic verse, consists of a series of fixed-form poems, namely 16 ballades and three rondeaux, and is recognized as a gem of medieval literature.
"Go to Sleep" is a song by Belgian singer Loïc Nottet, released on 22 December 2017 for digital download by Sony Music Entertainment. Written and produced by Nottet, the song was released in celebration of Christmas. Musically it is a minimally produced piano ballad whose lyrics discuss love and friendship in difficult times. Music critics gave positive reviews of "Go to Sleep", praising the song's message and nature, as well as Nottet's vocal delivery.
Limonov: The Ballad is a 2024 film directed by Kirill Serebrennikov. It is based on Emmanuel Carrère's 2011 book Limonov, a novelized biography of the Russian dissident writer and politician Eduard Limonov, who founded the National Bolshevik Party.
