Sanjit Narwekar is an Indian documentary filmmaker scriptwriter and author. A 1967 alumni of Bombay Scottish High School, Mumbai, he completed his Bachelor's in Statistics (1974) and his Master's in Economics (1976) from the University of Mumbai.

Manimuzhakkam is a 1976 Malayalam-language film directed by P. A. Anokha Pyar is a 1948 Indian Hindi language film. The film stars Dilip Kumar, Nargis, Nalini Jaywant in lead roles. The black and white romantic love triangle was directed by M. I. Dharamsey under the Ambika Films banner. The music was composed by Anil Biswas, who gave a then unknown young Lata Mangeshkar maximum songs to sing for the film. The rest of the cast included Sankatha Prasad, Mukri, Ved, Kesarbai, Habib and Sheikh.

Noor Mohammed Charlie, popularly known as Charlie, was an Indian/ Pakistani actor born in 1911 in Ranavav village, Porbandar, Saurashtra, India. Best known for his comedy roles, he was the first 'star' comedian and has been referred to as India's first comedy king. He acted with several top actresses of those days as a comic hero. Being a great fan of Charlie Chaplin, he took the name "Charlie" as his screen name following the release of his popular film The Indian Charlie (1933). He had a successful career in pre-partition India from 1925–1946. His shift to Pakistan following partition saw his career going down with less than 12 films. He shifted to the US to live with his son and returned later to Pakistan where he died in 1983.
Hind Mahila also called Woman's Challenge is a 1936 Hindi social film directed by Premankur Atorthy. It was produced by Kolhapur Cinetone. Premankur Atorthy Moved from New Theatres and worked for Kohlapur Cinetone making Bhikharan and Hind Mahila for them before going to Imperial Film Company. The music direction was by H. C. Bali. The cast included Rattan Bai, Shahu Modak, Master Vithal, and Hafisji.

Mehta and dialogue by Wajahat Mirza and Waqif. The music was composed by Anil Biswas with lyrics by Zia Sarhadi. The director of photography was Faredoon Irani and the film starred Bibbo, Motilal, Sabita Devi, Yakub, Pesi Patel and Gulzar. The film had Motilal playing the role of "a young bored millionaire", who due to his intemperate life-style starts falling ill. He bets with his doctor that he can go out in the world and manage to exist without his wealth.
Rani Saheba also called Bazarbattu is a 1930 Indian silent film. It is cited as the first children's film made in India. The film was co-directed by V. Shantaram and Keshavrao Dhaiber. The cinematographers were S. Fattelal and Vishnupant Govind Damle and the cast included Keshavrao Dhaiber, Baburao Pendharkar, V. Shantaram and Anant Apte.
Lokshahir Ram Joshi also called Matawala Shair Ram Joshi in Hindi, is a 1947 Marathi biopic film of the poet Ram Joshi, written by G. D. Madgulkar, directed by Baburao Painter and co-directed by V. Shantaram. Shantaram had given the direction to Painter but had to complete the film when Painter fell ill during production. Produced under the Rajkamal Kalamandir banner, it is also referred to as Lok Shahir Ramjoshi. The story writer was G.D. Madgulkar, who is cited as the "first specialist film writer" in Marathi cinema. This film was his first "full-fledged writing assignment", wherein he wrote the story, screenplay, dialogue and lyrics. It was also his debut as a screenplay writer. The film starred Jayaram Shiledar as Ram Joshi and Hansa Wadkar as Baya. The rest of the cast included Shakuntala Paranjpye, Parashuram, Sudha Apte and G. D. Madgulkar.
Ek Thi Reeta is a 1971 Bollywood action comedy thriller, produced and directed by Roop K. Shorey. The film was an adaptation of Shorey's earlier success Ek Thi Ladki (1949), which starred his wife actress Meena Shorey and Motilal. The original owed its "popularity" more to the music of the film, especially the song "Larra Lappa" composed by music director Vinod.

Rahul Narwekar is an Indian politician and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is the current speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Narwekar was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Council in June 2016 as a Governor's Nominated member. He is the second-youngest person to be elected speaker of any state in the country, the youngest being Shivraj Patil. In May 2023, he completed a 4-day UK tour speaking at the Ideas for India Conference organised by Bridge India in London, and speaking with students at Cambridge University. His tour attracted media attention because of its proximity to the Supreme Court judgement on the disqualification of 16 MLAs of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena.
