A magazine is a periodical publication, generally published on a regular schedule, containing a variety of content. They are generally financed by advertising, purchase price, prepaid subscriptions, or by a combination of the three.
The Daily Nebraskan, established in 1871 as the Monthly Hesperian Student, is the student newspaper of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Although many journalism students are on staff, the Daily Nebraskan is independent of the university's College of Journalism and Mass Communications. The newspaper is written, edited and produced by students of La Salle University, underneath a faculty adviser.

Founded in 1891, the paper is one of the oldest daily student newspapers west of the Mississippi River and is the only student-run daily newspaper in the state of Colorado. The Guidon is the official student newspaper of Ateneo de Manila University. Published monthly between August and March, The Guidon is a member of the Ateneo's Confederation of Publications and is one of the founding members of the College Editors Guild of the Philippines, along with The Varsitarian of the University of Santo Tomas, The Philippine Collegian of the University of the Philippines Diliman, and The National of National University (Philippines). As of 2023, The Guidon is in its 94th year, with its editor-in-chief being Ryan Gabriel B. Suarez, its associate editor being Anna Margarita F. Pineda, its managing editor being Silas S. The Collegian or Willamette Collegian is the student-run newspaper of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, United States. Founded in 1875, the weekly paper has been in continuous publication since 1889. It is a member of the College Publisher Network.
The Massachusetts Daily Collegian is an American daily newspaper founded in 1890, and the independently funded, student-operated newspaper of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The Collegian is a non-profit funded entirely through advertising revenue and receives no funding from the university or from student fees. In 2018, the Collegian scaled back its print edition to one issue per month, with digital-only articles continuing to be released daily.
