The Daggers are a punk rock band from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The band formed in 1997 [1] and their music is heavily influenced by late seventies punk and rock n roll bands. Original members (and their previous bands) were Brad Paffe (Art Bergmann Band), Geoff Kresge (AFI), Paul Charlton (Forbidden Dimension), and Graham Evans (Huevos Rancheros/Forbidden Demension).
The Daggers signed with Sloth Records, and in 1998 released a self-titled EP, [2] and a single, "She Told Me She Said/Nowhere To Go".
The Daggers performed locally, and in 2002 released the seve-track Right Between the Eyes, which was positively reviewed, [2] and received airplay on campus and community radio stations. [3] The band toured around western Canada in 2005.
The band had many lineup changes over the years. By 2006, original members Paffe and Charleton had been joined by bassist Troy Zak as well as Chris Walsh on lead guitar and drums. [4] This lineup recorded the band's album, Tear It To Pieces, which was released through Sloth in 2006; critical reception of this album was mixed. [5] [6]

Geoff Kresge is a songwriter, guitarist, bassist, and record producer. He played with the punk group AFI for most of their early career, from 1992 through 1997, and co-wrote the majority of their early material alongside frontman Davey Havok. During an AFI hiatus in 1993, he briefly moved to New York to join street punk band Blanks 77. He later went on to play with Canadian horror rock group The Forbidden Dimension and also a high-energy rock band, The Daggers, before subsequently joining the psychobilly band Tiger Army. Though he played an electric bass in his previous bands, the upright bass is used for Tiger Army's music.
Spitalfield is an American rock band from Chicago, Illinois signed to Victory Records. Formed in 1998, Spitalfield caught the attention of Victory Records with their 2002 release The Cloak And Dagger Club EP and a year later released their follow-up, Remember Right Now. The band sold over 130,000 records and performed in nine countries over three continents before disbanding at the end of 2007.
