The Gathering is the title of a studio album released by the Caribbean Jazz Project on June 11, 2002. Dave Samuels, Dave Valentin and Paquito D'Rivera are the main performers on the album, which was awarded with a Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album. [1]

The Bird and the Bee is an American indie pop musical duo from Los Angeles, consisting of Inara George and Greg Kurstin. Kurstin is a seven-time Grammy Award winning producer and multi-instrumentalist who has worked with artists including Sia, Adele, Beck, Kendrick Lamar, and the Foo Fighters. George and Kurstin met while the two were working on her debut album and they decided to collaborate on a jazz-influenced electropop project. Their debut EP, Again and Again and Again and Again, was released on October 31, 2006, followed by their self-titled debut album on January 23, 2007.

The Crash Kings is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 2006. The members are vocalist-keyboardist Antonio "Tony" Beliveau, his brother and bassist Mike Beliveau, and drummer Jason Morris. The band's self-titled debut album Crash Kings was released May 26, 2009 on Custard/Universal Motown. "Mountain Man", the band's first single, was released to U.S. modern rock radio stations in October, and entered Billboard's Alternative Songs chart the following month. It reached #1 on the Billboard Alternative Radio charts in March 2010. The band is known for using analog keyboards such as the Clavinet with distortion effects and a whammy bar in place of a typical lead guitar.

The recordings, made in Madrid in two sessions in 2007, were produced by Nat Chediak and Fernando Trueba and consist mostly of Latin standards, including Bebo's own compositions such as "Rareza del siglo", his first hit. Commenting on the long hiatus which kept Bebo away from his family, he stated that he thought that he would never see his son again, but when finally they had the opportunity to be together and record it, it was a "reward for all those years of uncertainty."
