Currently, 4,000 copies of each issue are distributed throughout campus. Each issue is typically 12 pages long and includes four sections: news, arts and entertainment, opinions and sports. The Burlington County Times is a daily newspaper located in Westampton, New Jersey, U.S. The paper, which is part of the Gannett chain of newspapers, covers municipal and county issues in Burlington County, New Jersey as well as local and professional sporting events.
The Spectrum is a student newspaper published in Buffalo, New York. It is a digital newspaper published weekly at the University at Buffalo. The Spectrum is financially independent and supports itself with online advertising. Any undergraduate at the school is eligible to register for the newspaper and its corresponding English courses, regardless of intended major.
The Cadet(Cadet Newspaper) is a bi-weekly student newspaper published by Virginia Military Institute Cadets. In May 2021, The Cadet was restarted by cadets who wanted a newspaper to coincide with their graduation ceremony. Since then, the cadet has been staffed by current VMI cadets, and is financially supported by donations. On October 29, 2021, The Cadet announced that it was a recognized IRS 501(c)(3). This was done to ensure that members of The Cadet staff maintain independence from VMI's Office of Communications and Marketing in order to afford The Cadet's Staff complete and total editorial control. In October 2021, The Cadet was accepted into the Virginia Press Association (VPA) and the cadets who operate the newspaper all carry Virginia State Police Press IDs. The Cadet is owned by The Cadet Foundation, INC and is published with the assistance of the Lexington News-Gazette.
William R. Fleischman Jr. was an American sports journalist. During the 1960s, he worked at The News Journal and the Burlington County Times after graduating from Gettysburg College. He reported for the Philadelphia Daily News from 1969 to 2005, and eventually became its assistant sports editor. During the 1970s, he wrote regularly on the Philadelphia Flyers when the team won two Stanley Cups, and co-authored a biography for the team's goaltender Bernie Parent. Fleischman also served as president of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association from 1979 to 1981, and was president of the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association from 1990 to 1992. He was a regular attendee for NASCAR events and co-authored several editions of The Unauthorized NASCAR Fan Guide. In addition to newspaper work, he taught journalism at the University of Delaware for 28 years, was a commentator for a sports talk show on Comcast, and was the historian for the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.
