The Goner was a psychedelic folk rock band from Sweden. Starting out as a solo project of Daniel Westerlund in 2008, the lineup quickly expanded [1] [2] [3] [4] and over time developed into a six piece live band; playing an eclectic range of instruments including banjo, violin and synths. [5]
The Goner debuted in 2008 with a series of EPs dubbed the H-Trilogy on Daniel Westerlund's own CD-R label Svarta Marknaden: Halartrallar, Hind Hand and Haven. [6] These limited releases garnered some interest and collectively secured the #1 spot on It's a Trap! Scandinavian Music Journal's top album list of 2008. [7] The following year, Hind Hand and Haven were reissued as the double album HH on US-based label Deep Water Acres. [8] Featuring The Goner in full band mode, [2] the release of Behold A New Traveler in 2010 drew further attention [9] including a favorable review by Julian Cope, [10] author of Krautrocksampler .

Sirsy is notable for touring continuously throughout the United States, playing more than 200 shows per year nationally, and for background music for several television shows and independent films. Their relentless touring has gained them a cult following.

The label also hosts Gonerfest, an annual Memphis music festival.

Harry Escott is a British composer living in London. He has composed the scores to several films, including Shame (2011), Hard Candy (2005) and A Mighty Heart (2007). He scored Eran Creevy's second feature film, the action thriller Welcome to the Punch which was executive produced by Ridley Scott and had its cinematic release in 2013. This was the second time he had worked with Creevy, having scored the director's debut feature, Shifty, for which he received a BIFA nomination in 2008.
"Bitemarks and Bloodstains" is a song by the American rock band Finch. It is the twelfth track on the band's second studio album Say Hello to Sunshine, and was released as a single on May 17, 2005 through Geffen Records. "Bitemarks and Bloodstains" was released to radio on June 21, 2005. It was subsequently released through other labels internationally in a variety of formats with various bonus tracks. Vocalist Nate Barcalow said "Bitemarks and Bloodstains" was the first song Finch wrote for Say Hello to Sunshine and it "makes the transition between the old and the new sound."
King Louie Bankston is an American rock and roll musician from New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. Associated early on with garage punk, he abandoned the genre in 1998 and has focused on Louisiana swamp pop, boogie woogie, boogie rock and power pop. He is best known for his work in the Royal Pendletons, The Persuaders, The Exploding Hearts, and The King Louie One Man Band. Bankston has toured Europe and the United States since the very early 1990s. He has released 53 records in the vinyl format. Louis currently plays music based out of Oakland, California, and lives in a suburb of New Orleans. Bankston has lived in New Orleans, Portland, Oregon, and Memphis, Tennessee.
Nobunny was the stage persona of musician Justin Champlin, performing since 2001. His debut LP, Love Visions, was home recorded and released in 2008 on Bubbledumb Records to positive reviews. It was re-released with 1-2-3-4 Go! Records in 2009 along with a second album, Raw Romance, which was released with Burger Records. His second official LP, "First Blood", was released by Goner Records in September 2010. His last LP, Secret Songs, was released on Goner Records towards the end of 2013.
Mike Tamburo, also known as Brother Ong is an independent musician, sound explorer, music educator, filmmaker, musical instrument builder, interdisciplinary sound artist, gong enthusiast, storyteller, writer, meditation teacher, installation artist, painter, currently living in New Kensington, PA. He is a well known multi-instrumentalist and plays the hammered dulcimer, gong, shahi baaja, swarmandal, autoharp, the crowned eternal, tuning forks, guitar, percussion, electronic instruments, bulbul tarang, bass gopichand, gulbulgar, singing bowls, bells and clarinet. He runs 2 small labels called: New American Folk Hero and Sounds Eternal. He teaches Kundalini yoga, Nāda yoga, sound therapy and Experimental Instrument Building. Early in Tamburo's career he gained notoriety for his string playing. In many of his early performances he began to enter into altered states of consciousness and have out of body experiences while performing. In order to understand these experiences he went into years of self study; exploring Kundalini Yoga, energy work, the therapeutic use of sound and how sound effects consciousness, human perception and self healing. His love for long sustained overtones and psychoacoustics led him to working with multiple gongs and other tuned metal instruments as well as exploring the healing power of mantra and toning. He has traveled the United States extensively, performing over 1500 shows in his career. He writes about many of his adventures in an ongoing collection of stories called Without Beginning, Middle Or End. He has also curated 3 years of the Fantastic Voyagers Music Festival. He performs with Crown Of Eternity with his wife Gallina Tamburo.

Deep Water Acres is a US-based independent webzine and record label dedicated to experimental music. Originally a physical magazine called Deep Water, the Internet publication features musical commentaries, reviews, artist profiles and interviews as well as Australian campfire recipes. Since 2005, Deep Water also operates as an independent record label under the name Deep Water Sonic Productions. The label has so far released over 40 full length CDs of experimental music, covering acts such as Ashtray Navigations, Agitated Radio Pilot, United Bible Studies, Niagara Falls, The Goner, Evening Fires, Heavy Winged, Brother Ong, Dead Sea Apes and Alligator Crystal Moth.

The album became Karlsson's breakthrough and was awarded several prizes, including a Grammy in 2005 and Manifest Gala prize in 2006. Over 60,000 copies of the album have been sold in Sweden.
