S. John Ross reviewed The High Lords' Guide to the Possibility Wars in White Wolf #45 (July 1994), rating it a 2.5 out of 5 and stated that "Go see a movie instead. Frankly, the bulk of this book should have been included in the original boxed set, three years ago [...] There are parts of this book worth having, but whether they justify the rest is questionable."
