The Jane Bradfords are an indie band from Ireland that have drawn comparisons to Echo and the Bunnymen, New Order and The National.
Originally a solo project by Castlederg musician Deci Gallen, they became a full band in 2006 when Ted Caldwell (drums), Johnny Farry (bass/guitar) and David Frecknall (bass/guitar) joined with Gallen on lead vocals and guitar. Since 2009, the live show has been complemented by extra musicians including Katie Richardson, Stuart Bell and Ruari Dempsey. Paul McAdams joined in 2009.
The band were named after the lead character in the 1930s B-movie The Pace That Kills and reference the film in some songs. [1]
They have been championed on BBC Radio 1 by Huw Stephens and Colin Murray. They performed a Maida Vale live session for Radio 1 in January 2007. The group have played support to Maxïmo Park, Cold War Kids, The National, Peter Bjorn and John, LCD Soundsystem, CSS and DeVotchka. [2]
In early 2010 their music was used in advertising campaigns by Harp Lager and by Five for their Season 4 Grey's Anatomy trailer. [3] In early 2011 their song "Strategy #2 (Fight Them All)" was used on trailers for The Mentalist [4] as well as by Liverpool Football Club on their TV station LFC TV. [5] In April 2011 BT launched a brand new advertising campaign using an unreleased song by the band called 'Better Place.' [6]
The Jane Bradfords made the UK national news in November 2006 when, despite being unsigned, their debut single "Hide From the Cold" got to number 1 in the QBS Alternative Rock Top 40 charts, on QBS Radio in the Middle Eastern country Qatar, remaining there for two weeks. [1]

Their album, The Fake Death Experience was reviewed positively in, amongst other publications, The Independent and Artrocker magazine. Letters & Colours were an English band from Sheffield, England, who became known for their combination of early 1980s new wave and disco beats. They gained recognition along with the New Yorkshire and nu rave scenes, and groups such as Bloc Party, Interpol, Editors and The Departure. They list The Cure, Depeche Mode and The Smiths as influences and were compared to such groups, as well as Joy Division, Echo & the Bunnymen, Bauhaus, Artery and Comsat Angels. Letters & Colours combined a heavy, repetitive rhythm section with lush, melodic guitar and haunting vocals. This created a bleak sound with a danceable quality, often referred to as "noir pop". The band was formed in 2003 as a two piece, before extending to four members; ultimately splitting in August 2007.
Maths Class were a British band from that formed in 2006 in Brighton, England, and achieved publicity through their Myspace. They have a wide range of influences and have played extensively around the UK and in Europe. They have also toured Japan in September 2008.

Threatmantics are a Welsh band from Cardiff, Wales. The band's current members are Heddwyn Davies, Andrew Lewis (guitar), Gareth Middleton (bass) and Huw Alun Davies (drums). Their first album Upbeat Love was recorded whilst the band was still a three-piece and was released by Domino Records' subsidiary label Double Six Records on 3 November 2008. Stereogum named Threatmantics a Band To Watch on 13 November 2008. The band's long-awaited second album, Kid McCoy, was released in late 2012. The singles from it got heavy airplay on BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru and were also played on BBC Radio 6 Music. DJ Adam Walton included "Esgryn" on his "Best of 2012" list.

The band's final lineup consisted of Kingsley Chapman, Pop Chapman, Owen Chapman, Kevin James Chapman and Scott Chapman. The band's debut album Burn Your Town was released on 7 March 2011. They were notably part of the "10 Tips for 2009" shortlist published by NME.

CAMP STAG is a 7-piece alternative rock band, formed in 2011 in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Their debut single 'Sirens', which they self-released on 16 April 2012, received national airplay courtesy of BBC Introducing on BBC Radio 1, BBCü 6 Music, and XFM, as well as featuring on BBC TV's Newsround. As a result, the band was one of two acts based in Stoke-on-Trent invited to perform on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday, 28 June 2013.
Marmozets are an English rock band from Bingley, West Yorkshire. Formed in 2007, the band consists of Rebecca "Becca" Macintyre (vocals), Jack Bottomley (guitar), Sam Macintyre (guitar/vocals), Will Bottomley (bass/vocals), and Josh Macintyre (drums). Marmozets signed to Roadrunner Records in October 2013 and released their debut album on 29 September 2014. Their second album, Knowing What You Know Now, came out on 26 January 2018. They signed to Nettwerk on 5 July 2024.
