The Jefferson County Courier was a weekly newspaper covering Jefferson County, Montana.

Jefferson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Montana. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 11,406. Its county seat is Boulder. The county was created in 1865 and named for President Thomas Jefferson.

The Jefferson County Courier was established by Jan Anderson in 1997. Anderson subsequently bought The Boulder Monitor in 2002 and, in 2011, merged the two newspapers under the name The Boulder Monitor. [1] [2] [3]

In 2001 The Jefferson County Courier was recognized as the best weekly newspaper in Montana by the Montana Newspaper Association and, in 2004, it received that year's National Newspaper Association Freedom of Information Award. [1] [4]

Mildred W. Pelzer

Mildred W. Pelzer was an American art teacher, artist and muralist known for her work in public spaces. In addition to the mural for the post office mural project in Waverly, Iowa, she completed eight murals for the Hotel Jefferson, of Iowa City and a mural for the lobby of the Press-Citizen. In addition to her mural work, Pelzer was known for portraits, floral works and landscapes.
