The Knew is an American rock and roll band from Denver, CO consisting of Jacob Hansen (guitars, vocals), Tim Rynders (bass), Tyler Breuer (guitars), and Andy Thomas (drums). The group takes influences from such acts as The Rolling Stones, The Clash, Dillinger Four, The Replacements, and My Morning Jacket. The Knew has shared the stage with numerous national acts such as Cold War Kids, Deer Tick, Titus Andronicus, Afghan Whigs, Fake Problems, Manchester Orchestra, Slim Cessna's Auto Club and has appeared at such festivals as South by Southwest, CMJ Music Marathon, Mile High Music Festival and the Monolith Festival. The band is renowned for their high energy performances and being front row boys.
The Knew's song "Salvazar" was featured in the AMC drama show, Breaking Bad and their songs "By Yourself" and "United" are both available for the Rock Band series on Xbox 360. [1] In the Spring of 2011, their song "Coldblack" was featured in an advertisement for Victory Motorcycles. [2]
The Knew's debut LP, Pulpería, was charted on the CMJ 200 in May 2010 and received favorable reviews from local and national press, with The Onion citing each track as having a "renewed complexity and diversity of emotion... a rich, enjoyable listen". [3]
The Knew's second full length, Man Monster, was released in August 2012 to critical acclaim. It was recorded at Black and Bluhm Studios in the Park Hill neighborhood of Denver. Man Monster is noted as their most ambitious release to date.
In 2013, Snappy Little Numbers Recordings released the What's Hip (Long Walk)/World War (Ay Ay Ay Alright) single. The songs have received much critical attention in both the U.S. [4] and Australia. [5]
The Knew also recorded a Daytrotter Session in 2013, which features previously unreleased songs and different versions of older material. It also includes a Cock Sparrer cover.
The Knew released their third full-length album, Schmew, in September 2015 under the Greater Than Collective label. It's a gas.

Dressy Bessy is an indie rock band from Denver, Colorado led by songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist, Tammy Ealom. The band is associated with the Elephant Six Recording Company and shares guitarist John Hill with The Apples in Stereo. Ealom formed the band with drummer Darren Albert and bassist Rob Greene in 1996. Hill joined the band after helping engineer early recordings in 1997. The name was taken from a popular Playskool doll of the 1970s.
Washing Machine is the ninth studio album by the American experimental rock band Sonic Youth, released on September 26, 1995 by DGC Records. It was recorded at Easley Studios in Memphis, Tennessee and produced by the band and John Siket, who also engineered the band's previous two albums. The album features more open-ended pieces than its predecessors and contains some of the band's longest songs, including the 20-minute ballad "The Diamond Sea", which is the lengthiest track to feature on any of Sonic Youth's studio albums.
Sonic Youth is the debut EP by American rock band Sonic Youth. It was recorded between December 1981 and January 1982 and released in March 1982 by Glenn Branca's Neutral label. It is the only recording featuring the early Sonic Youth lineup with Richard Edson on drums. Strange Fruit Project is an underground hip hop group from Waco, Texas, which consists of producer and emcee Symbolyc One, his cousin emcee Myth and emcee Myone. The trio officially debuted in 2004, with a pair of underground releases, Soul Travelin and From Divine. Their biggest exposure came with the release of their acclaimed 2006 album The Healing. The group's name is derived from the Billie Holiday civil rights song "Strange Fruit".

The Glasspack is an American psychedelic punk rock band from Louisville, Kentucky, United States. The band was formed in 1999 by frontman and native Louisvillian "Dirty" Dave Johnson, in hopes of giving a better alternative to the classic and hard rock played over-and-over on the radio. The Glasspack has since recorded one garage EP, two garage albums, two studio albums, and numerous cover songs, as well as toured the U.S. relentlessly. Three of the LPs were released on Detroit's Small Stone Records. The band takes its name from the high-flow fiber-glass filled automobile muffler known as a glasspack, which are known for being louder than traditional mufflers.
Family of the Year is an American indie rock band based in Los Angeles, California. It consists of members Joseph Keefe (vocals/guitar), Sebastian Keefe (drums/vocals), James Buckey (guitar/vocals), and Christina Schroeter (keyboard/vocals). Their music uses melodic male/female vocal harmonies and folktale-style lyrics. They are best known for their 2012 song "Hero", which was featured in Richard Linklater's 2014 film Boyhood and became a top 10 hit in Austria, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland.

It was released as the second single from the album on October 19, 1999, by Work Group. The song was written by Marc Costanzo, Derek MacKenzie, Sharon Costanzo, Michael Bruce, and Spencer Lynn Kirkpatrick, whilst production was helmed by Marc Costanzo under the stage name Mumble C.
Summer Cannibals is a rock band from Portland, Oregon featuring lead singer and guitarist Jessica Boudreaux, drummer Devon Shirley, guitarist Cassi Blum and bassist Ethan Butman. Their debut album, No Makeup, was released on New Moss Records on August 6, 2013. Their follow up sophomore album, Show Us Your Mind, was produced, recorded, and mixed by Larry Crane and released on New Moss Records on March 3, 2015. The album received favorable reviews from critics such as Entertainment Weekly, which stated that the album featured “songs that refine the fuzzy garage-pop of its debut into something sharper, tighter, and much more difficult to shake off.”
Bluetile Lounge is an Australian slowcore band, formed in Perth, Western Australia in 1991. After releasing their debut full-length album, Lowercase, in 1995, Bluetile Lounge signed to the American independent label Smells Like Records, which released the band's second LP, Half-Cut, in 1998.
