The Electric Prunes are an American psychedelic rock band, formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1965. Much of the band's music was, as music historian Richie Unterberger described it, possessed of "an eerie and sometimes anguished ambiance." Their most successful material was by songwriters Annette Tucker and Nancie Mantz, though the group also penned their own songs. Incorporating psychedelia and elements of embryonic electronic rock, the band's sound was marked by innovative recording techniques with fuzz-toned guitars and oscillating sound effects. In addition, guitarist Ken Williams' and singer James Lowe's concept of "free-form garage music" provided the band with a richer sonic palette and exploratory lyrical structure than many of their contemporaries.

Europe is a Swedish rock band formed in Upplands Väsby in 1979, by lead vocalist Joey Tempest, guitarist John Norum, bassist Peter Olsson, and drummer Tony Reno. They obtained a major breakthrough in Sweden in 1982 by winning the televised competition "Rock-SM" ; it was the first time this competition was held, and Europe became a larger success than the competition itself.

Broder Daniel, often abbreviated as BD, was an alternative rock band from Gothenburg, Sweden. They formed in the late 1980s and then consisted of classmates Henrik Berggren and Daniel Gilbert. Håkan Bråkan & Josef is a Swedish comedy film which was released to cinemas in Sweden on 8 October 2004, directed by Erik Leijonborg and based on Anders Jacobsson and Sören Olsson's stories about Håkan, a Sune spinoff character.

Viola Beach were an English indie rock group, formed in Warrington, Cheshire, in 2013. The band's final line-up consisted of Kris Leonard, River Reeves (guitar), Tomas Lowe, and Jack Dakin (drums). All four, along with their manager Craig Tarry, were killed when their car fell from a bridge in Södertälje, Sweden, on 13 February 2016. Founding members Frankie Coulson and Jonny Gibson are the last surviving members of the band as of 2023.
