A sequel, The Masseuse 2 was released in 1994 and also won awards.[ citation needed ]

Another sequel, Masseuse 3 was released in 1998 and also won awards including two at the 16th AVN Awards: Best Supporting Actress—Film for Chloe and Best Group Sex Scene—Film for Taylor Hayes, Mr. Marcus and Billy Glide. [1]

The original movie was remade with the same plot in 2004 by Vivid Entertainment with Jenna Jameson and Justin Sterling in the starring roles. Both films were directed by Paul Thomas.

The 9th AVN Awards ceremony, presented by Adult Video News (AVN), honored pornographic films released in 1991 in the United States and took place in January 1992, at Bally's Hotel and Casino in Paradise, Nevada. During the ceremony, AVN presented AVN Awards in 59 categories. The ceremony was produced by Anthony Devon and directed by Steven Austin. Actor Randy West hosted the show for the first time, with actresses Angela Summers and Hyapatia Lee as co-hosts.

8th AVN Awards 1991 American adult industry award ceremony

The 8th AVN Awards ceremony, organized by Adult Video News (AVN) took place on January 12, 1991, at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino in Paradise, Nevada. During the ceremony, AVN Awards were presented in 60 categories honoring pornographic films released the previous year in the United States. The ceremony was videotaped for later pay-per-view broadcast. Actor Tom Byron hosted with seven co-hosts throughout the show.
