The Monk, the Moor and Moses Ben Jalloun is a 2012 novel by Saeed Akhtar Mirza. The book was published by HarperCollins, and follows four students as they discover themselves by learning about the past. [1]
The novel centers on four students attending an American university and studying history. The book particularly focuses on the tale of the eleventh century Iranian Rehana, a woman with a zest for learning. As the students study the past, they begin to learn more about themselves and how actions in the past can affect them in the present and future.
Critical reception for the book was positive, [2] with the Deccan Chronicle calling it a "lovely work". [3] The Hindu mostly praised the novel, but stated that an index or a bibliography would have been useful. [4] IBN Live also gave a positive review, calling it "a great addition to any bookcase". [5]

Saeed Akhtar Mirza is an Indian screenwriter and director in Hindi films and television. He is the maker of notable parallel films such as Mohan Joshi Hazir Ho! (1984), Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyoon Aata Hai (1980), Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro (1989) and Naseem (1995), which won two National Film Awards in 1996. Saeed Mirza Was Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at ICA – International Cultural Artifact Film Festival in 2020.
The Rozabal Line is a thriller fiction novel by Ashwin Sanghi written under the pseudonym "Shawn Haigins". It follows the alternate religious history of Jesus having survived the crucifixion and settled down in India.
