The Nacelle Company was established as an independent entity in 2017, when New Wave Entertainment spun Comedy Dynamics into a stand-alone entity. [4] [5]
Nacelle has produced and distributed shows across major networks including Netflix and Disney+, such as The Toys That Made Us , [6] The Movies That Made Us, [7] Behind the Attraction, and Icons Unearthed. [8] [9]
In 2020, Nacelle released the documentary series A Toy Store Near You on multiple platforms. [10] In 2021, Nacelle launched its publishing wing in collaboration with Ingram Publishing, which it used to publish books on pop history. [11]
In 2022, Nacelle expanded by introducing a consumer products division focused on reviving established toy properties, [12] [13] such as Biker Mice from Mars , RoboForce, [14] [15] [16] Sectaurs, [17] [18] Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa,and The Great Garloo. [19] [20] These brands received new toy lines, comic books, and animated series within the shared Nacelleverse. [14] [21] Nacelle produced RoboForce: The Animated Series, which was co-produced by Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Seven Bucks Productions, [22] and Biker Mice From Mars, which was co-produced by Ryan Reynolds and Maximum Effort. In 2024, Nacelle announced a partnership with Walmart to distribute Nacelleverse products in stores nationwide. [26] [27] The partnership includes exclusive brands in Walmart stores, featuring action figures such as Maxx 89 and Wrecker (RoboForce), Throttle, Vinnie and Modo (Biker Mice From Mars), Dargon and Stellara (Sectaurs) Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa and Power Lords.
