The News Media Group was founded in 2008 and is solely owned by its creator and publisher, The Coin News Group S.L., was a small formed publishing company based in the Costa del Sol in southern Spain.
The News was a weekly free newspaper printed in English distributed on the Costa del Sol from Málaga to Sotogrande and inland as far as Antequera to over 53 towns and villages. The News was also distributed in Gibraltar and the last edition was issue 273 published on 23 April 2014. It is now a monthly magazine, then named The News Monthly Review. The office in Coin is closed and the owner, now works from home.
Torremolinos is a municipality in Andalusia, southern Spain, west of Málaga. A poor fishing village before the growth in tourism began in the late 1950s, Torremolinos was the first of the Costa del Sol resorts to be developed and is still the most popular in the region.

It is located near Sierra Blanca and Sierra de las Nieves in the comarca of Sierra de las Nieves. The municipality is situated approximately 44 kilometres from the provincial capital of Málaga and 10 from Coín. Monda has an altitude of 427 metres. It has a population of approximately 2,000 residents. The natives are called Mondeños.

St Anthony's College is an independent educational establishment located between Mijas and Fuengirola, Spain. It is notable as it is the oldest British college on the Costa del Sol, and indeed in Andalucia. It currently offers British education, with convalidated Spanish curriculum from ages 3–18 and has a large range of nationalities in both its student faculty and its teaching staff. It is an accredited school with the British Council, the Spanish Ministry of Education and the Junta Andalucia.
The 2015 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship was a beach soccer tournament which took place in Costa del Sol, El Salvador on 28 March – 4 April 2015. This was the first time the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship was held in Central America. All matches were played at Estadio de Fútbol Playa in La Paz Department, with an official capacity of 2,000.

Starring Hugo Silva, Álvaro Cervantes, Miki Esparbé, Jesús Castro, and Sara Sálamo, it was presented to the media on April 3, 2019, and its premiere took place on May 6, 2019, on Spanish networks Telecinco and Cuatro.
