The Oddities are a Canadian rap group from Toronto, Ontario. [1] Members include Bookworm, J-StaRRRrrr!!!, Sny-Whip, JSN JNS, Psy, & Wysper.

History

Rap groups Awkward Why? and Dynasty began recording in 1996, and merged in 1998 to form the Oddities. [1] [2]

Oddities members have released a number of collaborative projects over the years, including in 2001 a 12" single, "Weak Days". [2] Over time, other individuals participated in the group, including Kenny Neal (aka Bounce), Paul (pka Change), Naterrell, Retro Mosquito, and Bodible Oddities dancers Glizzii & Three (pka Daze).

The group's debut "family album", which showcased its members, was entitled "The Scenic Route", and was released on Battleaxe Records in 2003. [3] [4] [5] Bookworm produced the album. [6]

Moka Only

Daniel Denton, better known by his stage name Moka Only, is a Canadian underground hip hop artist. He has won 3 JUNO Awards, 5 MuchMusic Video Awards, and has been nominated for 11 Western Canadian Music Awards.

Sweatshop Union

Sweatshop Union is a Canadian hip hop collective based in Vancouver, British Columbia, consisting of four politically-minded rap acts — Dirty Circus, Pigeon Hole, Kyprios and Innocent Bystanders. Known for their socially conscious lyrics, Sweatshop Union's music comments on issues ranging from the war in Iraq, the plight of the poor and working-class, to the negativity and misogyny of mainstream hip-hop.

Girl Thing were an English-Dutch girl group, consisting of members Jodi Albert, Anika Bostelaar, Linzi Martin, Michelle Barber and Nikki Stuart. They were formed in 1998 by Simon Cowell and were originally intended to rival the Spice Girls, but their success was minor and short-lived. They sold two million records worldwide before disbanding in 2001.

Lucas Boyd, better known by his stage name Classified, is a Canadian rapper and record producer from Enfield, Nova Scotia.

Madchild

Shane Bunting, better known by his stage name Madchild, is a Canadian rapper. He is part of the Vancouver-based hip hop group Swollen Members. In 2009, he released a solo EP entitled The Madchild EP. In 2012, he released his first album, titled Dope Sick followed by Lawn Mower Man in 2013 and Silver Tongue Devil in 2015. In 1993, he was named a member of the legendary 'Rock Steady Crew'. The Darkest Hour was released in 2017.

Panacea (group)

Panacea is an American hip hop duo, formed in 2003 in Washington, D.C., United States. The duo consists of MC Raw Poetic and producer K-Murdock. Throughout their musical career, Panacea has had deals with various labels, including: Glow-in-the-Dark-Records, Rawkus Records and Tasteful Licks. They currently release their music under K-Murdock's imprint, Neosonic Productions.

Sean Jordan, better known by his stage name Wordburglar, is a Canadian alternative hip hop artist from Halifax, Nova Scotia, now based in Toronto. His style is best described as upbeat and charismatic with an emphasis on wordplay and humour. He primarily works with his crews Backburner and Props Dept for all aspects of his music creation, including production, cuts, mixing, mastering and guest vocals.

Todd Ray, known professionally as T-Ray, is an American former record producer and mixing engineer, known for producing Cypress Hill 1993 single "I Ain't Goin' Out Like That" and having founded the Venice Beach Freakshow in 2006. He has worked with MC Serch, Double X Posse, Bo$$, Funkdoobiest, MC Thick, The Whooliganz, Artifacts, Helmet, Kool G Rap, (həd)pe, Snot, Ugly Americans, G. Love & Special Sauce, Dilated Peoples and Non Phixion among others. He has won two Grammy Awards for his work with Santana and Ozomatli.

LAlgérino Algerian French Rapper

Samir Djoghlal, better known as L'Algérino, is an Algerian-born French rapper whose family came from the Chaoui-Berber tribes in Khenchela, Algeria.

Derek Christoff, better known by his stage name D-Sisive, is a Canadian rapper, best known for his Juno-nominated EP The Book, his hit single "Nobody with a Notepad" and his 2009 Polaris Music Prize-nominated album Let the Children Die.

Daniel Faraldo, known professionally as Dan-e-o, is a Canadian hip hop artist and actor of Jamaican and Spanish descent. In June 2015, Dan-e-o received the award for Best Hip Hop Artist at the Black Canadian Awards. He is a member of the groups Monolith and Perfeck Strangers, both based in Scarborough, Ontario.

Colleen Brown is a Canadian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Edmonton, Alberta.

La Alta Escuela was one of the pioneering formations of the rap in Sevilla, Spain. Formed by Tote King (mc), Juaninacka (mc) together with Juanma (MC) (mc), Dj Randy (dj) and El Tralla (mc).

Timothy Wallace, better known by his stage name Timbuktu, is a Canadian underground hip hop artist and member of the Backburner crew. He is a former member of the group Toolshed, and a member of the groups Wolves, Swamp Thing and My Giants. He also makes up one half of the duos Teenburger and Sequestrians.
