Plot

In this episode, Monica and Chandler travel to Ohio to meet Erica(Anna Faris), a young woman who has chosen them to adopt her baby. However, upon meeting Erica, they realize there's been a mix-up, and she thinks they're a doctor and a reverend. The couple panics, thinking they'll lose their chance at adopting the baby, but they decide to come clean about the misunderstanding. Monica and Chandler's honesty and genuine desire to be parents ultimately win Erica over, and she chooses them to be the adoptive parents, leading to a moment of relief and joy for the couple.

Meanwhile, back in New York, Joey has a hard time finding a new place to live after learning that Monica and Chandler are buying a house. He visits an open house with Phoebe, and after a few comical interactions, they meet a woman named Sarah who is also looking for an apartment. Joey takes a liking to her, but things go awry when he accidentally offends her, ruining any chance of a connection. Despite the setback, Joey remains optimistic about his future living situation.

Elsewhere, Ross and Rachel visit a friend's wedding, and Ross ends up accidentally seated at the kids' table. Initially frustrated, Ross eventually bonds with the children and enjoys himself. The experience gives Ross a chance to reflect on parenthood and the different stages of life, adding a touch of humor and introspection to the episode.
