Bhangra is a type of non-traditional music of Punjab originating from the Punjab region of India and Pakistan. It is a type of upbeat popular music associated with the Punjabi diaspora. The style has its origins in the folk music of Punjab as well as western pop music of the 1970s and 1980s. Prior to this musical fusion, Bhangra existed only as a dance form in the native Punjab Over the years, Bhangra has evolved and gained popularity not only in South Asia but also around the world. It has become a significant part of the cultural identity of the Punjabi diaspora in countries like the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. Rajinder Singh Rai, better known by his stage name Panjabi MC, is a British-Indian recording artist, rapper, producer and DJ. He is best known for the worldwide 2002 Bhangra hit "Mundian To Bach Ke", which sold 10 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling singles of all time. Among other songs, he gained acclaim with the 2003 release "Jogi". AllMusic has called him "one of the most prominent names in bhangra".
"Her Majesty" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, from their 1969 album Abbey Road. Written by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon–McCartney, it is a brief tongue-in-cheek music hall song. McCartney is the only musician to appear on the track. "Her Majesty" is the final cut on the album and appears 14 seconds after the previous song "The End", but was not listed on the original sleeve. Some observers consider it the first example of a hidden track.

Nachhatar Gill is a Punjabi musician and singer-songwriter. He was born to a Sikh family at their village Akaalgarh near Badesron, Tehsil Garhshankar, Punjab, India. Gill was very fond of music. His father was a kirtani. He used to sing along with his father at their village's temple's annual program. Gill got popularity with his solo song "Dil Ditta Nahin Si". His two religious albums are Sahib Jinah Diyan Mane (2006), and Ardaas Karaan (2010). He appeared in his first movie, Gal Sun Ho Gaya in 2012. He has appeared in three more films since then, the latest one being Jugaadi Dot Com in 2015.
Kaka Bhaniawala ; born Santokh Singh Rataurh; was a Punjabi singer from a village in the state of Punjab, India called Doaba Bhaini, near Kohara on Chandigarh - Ludhiana road, represented within his name, meaning from Bhaini (Bhaniawala). The name 'Kaka' was a nickname presented to him by his mother which he then took upon to be signature name on the stage. His debut album with Music Pearls Recording Company Ludhiana is Mashooq Teri Challi.

He is most known for working with a numorous Punjabi artists including Manak-E, the late Kaka Bhaniawala, Tegi Pannu, Bakshi Billa, Prabh Gill, Lehmber Hussainpuri, Navaan Sandhu, AP Dhillon, Gurinder Gill, Himmat Sandhu and Akhil. He released his debut album My Time in February 2012 which included his No. 1 single with Bakshi Billa "Sona", and hit song with Manak-E "Door Ni Kulne", as well as six further tracks that charted in the official UK Asian Music Download Chart. Since releasing his first album, he has worked with a number of singers such as Prabh Gill, and later released his third album Against All Odds in 2014.

He has worked with singer Kanika Kapoor for the song "Jugni Ji" and with musician Jaz Dhami for the song "Zulfa". His song "Aag Ka Dariya" features on the Four Lions film soundtrack. A music video was also produced featuring Czech model Yana Gupta and singers Ravindra & DJ Shortie.

He rose to fame from his single "Jatt Di Akal" from his debut in the 2015 album, Mitti Da Bawa which was awarded the "Best World Album" award in the 2015 Brit Asia TV Music Awards. He has also received "PTC Best Folk oriented Song Award" in 2013 for his Song in 2013, Jatt Di Akal. His numorous songs including 'Yaari Chandigarh Waliye' and 'Impress' peaked on UK Asian Music Chart and UK Punjabi Music Charts. He made his film debut in playing the title role in Toofan Singh, a semi-biographical film about the 1980s Punjabi activist Shaheed Bhai Jugraj Singh Toofan.
Ghund Kadh Le Ni Sohreyan Da Pind Aa Gaya is a 2022 Indian Punjabi-language, romantic comedy film directed by Ksshitij Chaudhary and produced by Ankit Vijan, Navdeep Narula and Gurjit Singh. The film was made under the banner of Shri Narotam Ji Films Production, Big Bash Producers LLP and Bollywood Heights and stars Gurnam Bhullar and Sargun Mehta in lead roles. It was released on 8 July 2022 by Zee Studios.
