The Pains of Being Pure at Heart EP is the first release from The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. It was released in 2007 on CD, and later re-released as a download in 2008. The EP was released on The Pains' own record label, Painbow.

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart are an American indie pop band from New York City, formed in 2007. The band currently centers around founding member and principal songwriter Kip Berman. Live he is joined by Christoph Hochheim (guitar), Jen Goma, Jacob Sloan (bass), and Anton Hochheim (drums). Former members and contributors include Peggy Wang, Connor Hanwick, Kurt Feldman and Alex Naidus.
