The Paladin Prophecy is the first book in the young adult fiction series of the same name by Mark Frost. It was released in 2012.
Will West has always lived by a code set by his father, Jordan West, a series of rules to help him survive. He's always lived under the radar to never attract any unwanted attention, even to the point of slowing down while running cross country. But one day on his morning run he encounters a group of mysterious dangerous looking men in black caps driving black sedans and he discovers how fast he can really run.
He meets a woman named Lillian Robbins and she tells him he scored extraordinarily well on a national assessment and offers him a full scholarship to a secret elite private school. After school he notices that his mom, Belinda, is not herself. Men in black caps invade his house and he runs into monsters from another dimension, only able to escape with the help of a mysterious man named Dave. He discovers a video message from his father and runs away with the help of Nando, a taxi driver, and flies to the school in Wisconsin that Lillian Robbins works at. He and his new roommates; Brooke, Ajay, Nick, and Elise discover a mysterious group of people that call themselves "The Peers".
Dave tells Will he must fight against a group of creatures who want to invade the earth and destroy humanity. These monsters live in the Never-Was, an alternate dimension where they are imprisoned. Dave is a protector whose objective is to keep Will alive to eventually defeat the Never-Was and its inhabitants. Together they discover that the Peers are really a school group called the Knights of Charlemagne.
While Brooke is trying to help gather information about them for Will, she is kidnapped and held hostage. With the help of Nick, Ajay, and Elise, Will is able to save her and uncover the secret plan off the 'Knights'. 'The Peers' leader, Lyle Ogilvy, while attempting to kill Will, gets hit by a wendigo, a creature from the Never-was, and loses his soul. While defending Will from the wendigo, Dave gets sucked into the Never-Was.
They all end up in the medical center and after questioning by Principal Rourke and Ms. Robbins, Will goes with them to see the site where his parents crashed in an airplane. He meets 'Mr. Hobbes', the evil mastermind behind the Knights of Charlemagne. During discussion with his roommates, they believe that they may have all been test tube babies who were genetically altered while still an embryo.
At the end, Will receives a message from his father, who he now knows is really Hugh Greenwood, and discovers he is still alive.

The wendigo is often said to be a malevolent spirit, sometimes depicted as a creature with human-like characteristics, which possesses human beings. The wendigo is known to invoke feelings of insatiable greed/hunger, the desire to cannibalize other humans, as well as the propensity to commit murder in those that fall under its influence.
Mon Colle Knights, known in Japan as Six Gates Far Away Mon Colle Knight, is a Japanese manga series written by Satoru Akahori and Katsumi Hasegawa and illustrated by Hideaki Nishikawa. The original concept was made by Hitoshi Yasuda and Group SNE. The series is based on the Monster Collection trading card game.

Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog is an Irish/American fantasy-adventure television series set in a fantasy version of ancient Ireland, created by Saban Entertainment. It was loosely based on actual Irish mythology. The name is derived from Tír na nÓg, one of the Otherworlds of Irish mythology. It was Saban's first fantasy series to involve knights, dragons, and wizards. It aired on the Fox Kids Network from September 12, 1998 and ending on May 7, 1999. A second season entitled Mystic Knights: Battle Thunder was planned, but was later cancelled, and its budget was put towards Power Rangers Lost Galaxy and the English dub version of Digimon: Digital Monsters. The resulting series was an attempt in doing an original non-Japanese special-effects series rather than adapting from actual Japanese tokusatsu.

Superman: At Earth's End is a 1995 comic book Elseworlds story, published by DC Comics. Written by Tom Veitch with art by Frank Gomez. The story set in a post-apocalyptic future, where mutations run wild, and a white-maned Man of Steel has begun a fight against new scourge sweep across the Earth—a nightmare army of bat-men. The book is, more or less, the sequel to the miniseries Kamandi: At Earth's End, which itself was a reimagining of the DC Comic series Kamandi, created by Jack Kirby in 1972.
Monsters Unleashed is the title of an American black-and-white comics magazine published by Magazine Management and two color comic-book miniseries from Marvel Comics. The first ran from 1973 to 1975. The two miniseries ran consecutively in 2017.
In Michigan folklore, the Michigan Dogman was allegedly witnessed in 1887 in Wexford County, Michigan. The creature is described as a seven-foot tall, blue-eyed, or amber-eyed bipedal canine-like animal with the torso of a man and a fearsome howl that sounds like a human scream. According to legends, the Michigan Dogman appears in a ten-year cycle that falls on years ending in 7. Sightings have been reported in several locations throughout Michigan, primarily in the northwestern quadrant of the Lower Peninsula. In 1987, the legend of the Michigan Dogman gained popularity when disc jockey Steve Cook at WTCM-FM recorded a song about the creature and its reported sightings.

A sequel High Strung: Free Dance was released in 2019.
The Inpatient is a psychological horror video game developed by Supermassive Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4 and its virtual reality headset PlayStation VR. The game was released in January 2018.
