The Plea are an Irish, Ballyliffin based, indie rock quartet. They were the first band signed to Apollo Records (An Indie/Rock offshoot of Belgian Dance/Techno label R&S Records, who signed acts such as Aphex Twin)

Brothers Denny and Dermot Doherty formed their first band in their teens, moving from Ballyliffin to London to Boston, performing covers and original music. They spent a year in Minnesota recording a never-released album after a scout for a US label saw them at London’s Barfly.[ specify ] Returning to Ballyliffin, the brothers formed The Plea [1] with drummer Gerry Strawbridge and bassist Paul Toland, and began posting original material to MySpace. The band signed with Apollo Records, a bespoke Indie offshoot of R&S Records, to produce their debut album. [2] The band have been working with producer Chris Potter (U2, Blur, The Verve, The Rolling Stones), the first track entitled "Praise Be" [3] from those sessions has been uploaded to the Planet Function SoundCloud account.
Denny describes The Plea's music and motivation as: [2]
We want to write strong, uplifting songs that make people feel good and, hopefully, inspire them like our idols inspired us ... We have to live with these songs. We have to love them.
Apollo Records, an Indie offshoot of Belgian Dance/Techno label R&S Records. [2] R&S Records are better known for signing such acts as Aphex Twin, Joey Beltram, and System 7, but Dermot describes the band's decision to sign with R&S as a combination of finding shared interests with the producers and "they had so much faith in us. Unlike any label we've dealt with before, they've done exactly what they promised they would do, only better." [4]

Emery was founded in Rock Hill, South Carolina by Toby Morrell, Devin Shelton, Matt Carter, Josh Head, Joel Green and Seth Studley, and moved to Seattle in order to reach a more music centered scene.
Lo-Pro is an American rock band formed in 2002 by Pete Murray and Neil Godfrey after the disbandment of their previous band, Ultraspank, in 2001. After attracting the attention of Aaron Lewis of Staind, the band signed to a major record label, Geffen Records, and released their debut album, Lo-Pro in 2003. After a year of touring in support of the album, they would be dropped from their label. The band stayed together, but it would be almost six years until any further music releases, with the band opting to record and re-record several album's worth of material, participate in side-projects, and perform live shows prior to finalizing new material for release.
Analogue Bubblebath, also released as Aphex Twin ep, is the first record by musician and producer Richard D. James, using the alias The Aphex Twin. The EP was released in September 1991 by Mighty Force Records; it was the inaugural release for the label, which at the time was a record shop in Exeter. The record was hugely influential on the development of electronic music, particularly techno and ambient techno. Its release has been described as a key event in the history of dance music. It is the first release in what became the Analogue Bubblebath series.
Solefald is a Norwegian avant-garde metal/black metal band that was formed by members Lars Are "Lazare" Nedland and Cornelius Jakhelln in August 1995, with Nedland singing and playing keyboard/synthesizer/piano and drums, and Jakhelln singing and playing guitar and bass. The duo experiment with a wide array of musical styles, frequently work on other projects, and rarely perform live under the Solefald name, leading them to describe themselves as "two stubborn goats pretending to be a band." According to the duo, their name is an Old Norse word for "sunset," taken from one of Theodor Kittelsen's paintings illustrating a poem of the same name by Theodor Caspari, published in the 1901 book Vintereventyr.
Michael Cullen, aka Mike Dred, is a British experimental techno DJ, producer, and sound engineer. He has been a leading DJ since 1983, a producer since 1988, a sound designer since 1992, and is considered an important figure in the development of acid techno and innovative use of the Roland TB-303.

Daphne Loves Derby is an American Indie rock band that formed in Kent, Washington, in 2001. They have released three studio albums, the third in 2007 titled Good Night, Witness Light, peaking at number 30 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. The band was featured on Billboard's official website following the release of the album.
Selected Ambient Works 85–92 is the debut studio album by Aphex Twin, the pseudonym of British electronic musician Richard D. James. It was released on 9 November 1992 through Apollo Records, a subsidiary of Belgian label R&S Records. The album consists of beat-orientated ambient tracks recorded onto cassette reputedly dating as far back as 1985, when James was thirteen to fourteen years old. An analogue remaster of the album was released in 2006, followed by a digital remaster in 2008.
