The Prisoner is a short fiction film directed by Mahmoud Shoolizadeh, and written by Sharon Y. Cobb in 2013, based on a short story that was written by Mahmoud Shoolizadeh. It has participated in several major international film festivals, [1] including the Montreal World Film Festival, [2] and East Lansing Film Festival. [3] Although the movie is based in Florida, it was totally shot in Coastal Georgia. [4] It won Best Short Film Award and Best Supporting Actor Award at Hollywood CineRocKom International Film Festival, [5] [6] and won Honorable Mention Jury Award at Indie Fest USA International Film Festival. [1] It also became a nominee for Best Director at Hollywood CineRocKom International film festival [5] [6] as well as Best Lead Actor and Best Supporting Actor at Red Dirt International Film Festival [1] [7] The film has been discussed in local Newspapers and Magazines. Sonny and Dub once shared a cell together. Now Sonny is a free man keeping his life as simple and care free as possible. While Dub is on Death Row and sentenced to be executed in a matter of days, Sonny comes to visit Dub one last time. Dub has a last request - a dying request that hopes to entrust Sonny with.

Fantasia International Film Festival is a genre film festival that has been based mainly in Montreal since its founding in 1996. Dylan Verrechia is a Barthélemois award-winning film director, auteur, screenwriter, director of photography, and producer. He grew up in Saint Barthélemy, French West Indies, bedridden with severe ankylosing spondylitis for many years. At age twelve, he was sent to Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in France. He then started correspondence courses from the National Centre for Distance Education. After the national service, Verrechia studied Cinema at Paris Nanterre University taught by Jean Rouch from la Cinémathèque française. He graduated with honors in Film & TV from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and became soon after a U.S. citizen. Verrechia is a director of Mexican cinema, and his films have won awards worldwide.
Petra Costa is a Brazilian filmmaker and actress. In 2020, her documentary film The Edge of Democracy was nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 92nd Academy Awards and won a Peabody Award. She has been a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since 2018.
