The album was one of Billboard's Top Album Picks for the week ending April 24, 1976. Some of the musicians who performed on the album were Richard Tee, Hugh McCracken, Eric Gale, and Stephen Gadd. It received a good review with the picks being "Love at First Sight", "Night Walk", "Theme from Star Trek", and "African Symphony". [1]
For the chart dated May 8, 1976, the record entered the Billboard Top LPs & Tape chart at No. 151. [2] At that time, "Jet Setting" was at #9 on the Disco Action chart (Melody Song Shops (Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island) Retail Sales section), "Night Walk" was at #15 (Top Audience Response Record In Houston, Texas Discos section) and "Party" was at (Top Audience Response Records In L.A. /San Diego Discos section). Van Allen Clinton McCoy was an American musician, record producer, arranger, songwriter, singer and orchestra conductor. He is known for his 1975 internationally successful hit "The Hustle". He has approximately 700 song copyrights to his credit, and produced songs by such recording artists as Gladys Knight & the Pips, The Stylistics, Aretha Franklin, Brenda & the Tabulations, David Ruffin, Peaches & Herb, Lesley Gore and Stacy Lattisaw.

A Night at Studio 54 is a compilation album released by Casablanca Records in June 1979, featuring disco music played frequently at New York City's famous nightclub Studio 54. Conceived by the record label and direct response television company I&M Marketing with the co-operation from Studio 54 founders Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager, A Night at Studio 54 was also a double album, with its music segued between tracks by disc jockeys Marc Paul Simon and Roy Thode for continuous playing, reminiscent of the nightclub itself.
