The Sidekicks were an American indie rock band from Cleveland, Ohio. [1]

History

The Sidekicks released their first full-length album, So long, Soggy Dog in 2007. [2] The following year, they released the 7" single Sam. [3] In 2009, The Sidekicks released their second full-length album Weight of Air. [4] The Sidekicks released a split with the band Tigers Jaw in 2011. [5] In 2012, The Sidekicks released their third full-length album Awkward Breeds, as well as an EP, Grace. [6] [7] [8] The Sidekicks signed to Epitaph Records in 2014. [9] The Sidekicks released their fourth full-length album Runners In The Nerved World, in 2015. [10] [9] [11] [12] Their fifth and final full-length album, Happiness Hours, was released in 2018. [13] [14]

The band disbanded in December 2022. [15]

Ryan Mattos (guitar) left before the group's Matador Records signing in 2011, being replaced by Nelson. The band formed in 2016 and was considered an emo punk supergroup due to all members being in prominent emo bands during its formation. The band consisted of vocalist Marissa D'Elia, Vocalist/Guitarist Cameron Boucher, Adam Ackerman, and Sean Hallock. Following Hallock's departure, he was replaced by drummer Charlie Singer, also of Old Gray and later Sorority Noise.

Hot Flash Heat Wave is an American indie rock band originally from Davis, California, now based in the Excelsior District of San Francisco, California. Their sound has been described as "surfer pop meets post punk" and "dream pop".
