The Siren is a sculpture by Norman J. Gitzen, which was formerly displayed in Wellington, Florida. It consists of a 3-metre tall[ citation needed ] hand-pounded steel and bronze depiction of a mermaid with webbed hands and unusually large breasts. It was part of the village's public art program, which involved 21 artists loaning art work to be displayed in public places. Originally placed outside Wellington Community Centre, it caused controversy after some complaints about the nudity of the statue. [1] The artist later added nipples to the sculpture's breasts. [2]
The statue featured on CNN, NPR and A Current Affair , and was included in a summary of 2005 news stories in Playboy . [3] [4] As of 2022, it remains in Gitzen's possession, and is displayed by him at public events and shows. [4]

Kanayi Kunhiraman is an Indian sculptor, best known for his outsize sculptures such as Yakshi of Malampuzha Dam Gardens, Sagarakanyaka at Shankumugham Beach and Mukkola Perumal trinity in Kochi. Taught by K. C. S. Paniker, he is a former chairman of the Lalit Kala Academy, India's national academy of fine arts. The Government of Kerala awarded him the inaugural Raja Ravi Varma Award in 2005. In 2022, he was honoured with Kerala Sree Award, third highest civilian award given by the Government of Kerala.

Forever Marilyn is a giant statue of Marilyn Monroe designed by Seward Johnson. The statue is a representation of one of the most famous images of Monroe, taken from Billy Wilder's 1955 film The Seven Year Itch. Mermaid is a 1979 outdoor sculpture by Roy Lichtenstein, composed of concrete, steel, polyurethane, enamel, palm tree, and water. It is located in Miami Beach at the Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater. Measuring 640 cm × 730 cm × 330 cm, it is his first public art commission according to some sources, although others point to a temporary pavilion that predates this work. It is also the second piece of public art in the city of Miami Beach. Since the sculpture was installed, it has been restored several times, and the theater that it accompanies has been restored and renamed twice.
Hibel Museum of Art was an art museum on the campus of Florida Atlantic University in Jupiter, Florida dedicated to the paintings, lithographs, and other artwork of artist Edna Hibel. The museum hosted local and traveling exhibitions, public events and educational programs, and also was home to Edna Hibel's personal art library.
The Father Serra statue in Ventura, California, representing Junípero Serra, the founder of Mission San Buenaventura, was commissioned by Ventura County through the Works Progress Administration as part of the Federal Art Project in 1935. This statue, made of concrete from a clay model by Uno John Palo Kangas, was placed in a prominent location in a public park across the street from the Ventura County Courthouse in 1936. After the Courthouse was repurposed as Ventura City Hall, the statue was designated as City of Ventura Historic Landmark No. 3 in 1974. As deterioration of the concrete statue became a concern, a wood replica was created by local carvers and used to make a bronze cast. The concrete statue was replaced by the bronze cast in 1989. The wood replica was set in the atrium of the city hall for public display.

She has painted the Florida Everglades as "de-peopled visions of a primordial Eden." Thompson lived in Florida and New York City.
Frank Varga was a Hungarian-American sculptor. He was the only child of the artist Ferenc Varga and his wife Anna Pázman Varga.
George Gadson is an American artist, sculptor, painter, and photographer based in South Florida. His sculptures are displayed as public artwork in a variety of locations throughout Florida, including the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida Memorial University in Miami, and the Broward County School Board building. In the 1990s, he was commissioned to create two limited-edition sculptures for two Florida-based Super Bowls. He was also commissioned to design an ornament for the White House Christmas tree in 2008 and a sculpture for NFL linebacker Ray Lewis in 2018. He is the owner of George Gadson Studios through which he also provides public art consulting.
