The Sport Review (thesportreview.com) is a sport news website founded in 2008 and based in London.
The site primarily covers the most popular sports in the United Kingdom, including football, tennis, rugby union, cricket and Formula 1.
It was founded in November 2008 by journalists Martin Caparrotta and Kieran Beckles. [1]
Some of the original regular features on the site included 'The Grapevine' - an interactive football transfer gossip column, and 'Short and Tweet' - a round-up of Twitter updates from sports stars and celebrities following headline sporting events.
The site won the 2010 Bright Ideas Award at University College London. [2]
Gary Winston Lineker is an English sports broadcaster and former professional footballer. Lineker is the only player to have been the top goalscorer in England with three clubs: Leicester City, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur. At the 2016 Summer Paralympics, he won the Men's 800m T36 in a world record time of 2:02.39. At the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London, he won three gold medals; he followed this up with two gold medals at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai and a gold and silver medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
