The Stick People is an American alternative rock/punk rock band formed in 2008 in Hollywood, California, United States, which plays a fusion of alternative rock, punk rock, metal, and other musical styles. Best known for guitarist duo Bernie Godwin, son of producer Dito Godwin, and Mike Stone, former Queensrÿche guitarist.

Contents

The Stick People was assembled by the group's producer, Dito Godwin, in 2008 and 2009, with the exception of Billy Close who was brought in by Mike Stone in 2010.

History

(2008–2010)

The Stick People spent most of 2009 recording their debut CD, but released a digital single, "TRUST" online as a free download. On August 17, they released the debut commercial single "Think About That" [1] through EFM Records, Bungalo, Universal Music Group Distribution. [2]

The band recorded a music video for the song "Think About That" in 2010. [3]

(2011–present)

After several successful tours from the West Coast to the Mid-west playing with various acts including rock icons like Quiet riot and Vince Neil, The Stick People will release their debut album "Madness" on April 23, 2013, through EFM Records/Bungalo Records/Universal Music Group Dist. [4] The CD was produced by Dito Godwin (Kiss (band), Mötley Crüe).

Mike Stone is an American guitarist, best known for his involvement in the progressive metal band Queensrÿche. He joined Queensrÿche for their 2003 Tribe tour, and made his first appearance on the 2003 album Tribe, with writing credits for the song "Losing Myself". He parted ways with the band in 2009, but rejoined initially in 2018 as a touring guitarist for then guitarist Parker Lundgren, and full-time in 2021. Stone was the guitarist for the rock band Speed-X, and currently the guitarist and backup vocalist of the alternative punk rock band, The Stick People.

EFM Records is an American independent record label and corporation founded in 2008 by music producer Dito Godwin. Designed as an artist friendly label, It 's primary focus is on notable artists, who prefer to have more individual control of their art, as well as development projects hand-picked by Godwin.

Moshiach Oi! is an American Hasidic hardcore punk band from Long Beach, New York. Formed in 2008 by lead singer Yishai Romanoff and guitarist Mike Wagner, they released their debut album, Better Get Ready (2009), on Shemspeed Records, followed in 2011 by This World is Nothing. They were prominently featured in the 2012 documentary Punk Jews.
