"The Trouble with Grandpa" is a 1982 episode of the syndicated American religious-themed anthology television series Insight starring Elisha Cook Jr. and Meg Tilly (in her television debut). The episode was produced in 1981 by Paulist Productions and originally aired on January 21, 1982, as a presentation of Capital Cities Family Specials. [2]
The relationship between a 17-year-old girl named Dori (Meg Tilly) and her 75-year-old grandfather "Grampa" (Elisha Cook Jr.) living in a trailer by the sea. Dori, who has lost her parents, is very insecure and believes herself to be plain, inept and friendless, while her grandfather is active and loves to swim. Together, they are two lonely people both dependent upon each other – he worries about her and she worries about him. When her grandfather soon begins to show signs of senility, Dori must face the possibility of him becoming ever more dependent upon her. She rises to the challenge, getting a new appreciation of herself in the process.

Elisha Vanslyck Cook Jr. was an American character actor famed for his work in film noir. According to Bill Georgaris of They Shoot Pictures, Don't They, Cook appeared in 21 films noir, more than any other actor or actress. He played cheerful, brainy collegiates until he was cast against type as the bug-eyed baby-faced psychopathic killer Wilmer Cook in the 1941 version of The Maltese Falcon. Kotoura-san (琴浦さん) is a four-panel manga series by Enokizu. It appeared as a serial in the web magazine Manga Goccha, and the manga magazine Megami from October 14, 2010 to April 22, 2015. Micro Magazine owns the web magazine, and is also the publisher of the series which spanned seven bound volumes released from 2012 to 2015. Kotoura-san is about a first year high school girl named Haruka Kotoura who has the ability to read minds. Growing up she has a horrible life but things turn around when she makes friends who accept her ability. One guy in particular named Yoshihisa Manabe also eventually takes a romantic interest in her.
Uncle Grandpa is an American animated television series created by Peter Browngardt for Cartoon Network that ran from September 2, 2013, to June 30, 2017. It is based on Browngardt's animated short of the same name from The Cartoonstitute. Uncle Grandpa is also a spin-off of Secret Mountain Fort Awesome, which was in turn a spin-off of The Cartoonstitute short. It was produced by Cartoon Network Studios.
