The Vineyard is a cricket ground in Dublin, Ireland. In local domestic cricket, the ground is the home of The Hills Cricket Club. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1992, when Munster played North Leinster. [1] In 2005, the ground hosted two List A matches in the 2005 ICC Trophy. [2] The first of these saw Bermuda play Scotland, which resulted in a Scottish victory by 6 wickets. [3] The second of these saw Denmark play Namibia, which resulted 103 run victory for Namibia. [4]

In 2006, the ground hosted a Women's One Day Internationals between Ireland women and India women, which India women won by 78 runs. [5] In 2009, it hosted another Women's One Day International between Ireland women and the Netherlands women, [6] which Ireland women won by 10 wickets. [7] Also in 2009, the ground held a Women's Twenty20 International between Ireland women and Pakistan women, [8] which Ireland women won by 9 wickets. [9]

The ground held a first-class match between Ireland and Afghanistan in the 2011–13 Intercontinental Cup.

It served as the final part of the Cricket World Cup qualification process, coming with the prize of a place in the 2007 Cricket World Cup for the five top-ranked teams, and with the prize of official One-Day International status from 1 January 2006 for the five top-ranked teams along with Kenya.

Cricket has been played in Afghanistan since the mid-19th century, but it was only in the early 21st century that the national team began to enjoy success. The Afghanistan Cricket Board was formed in 1995 and became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2001 and a member of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in 2003. After nearly a decade of playing international cricket, on 22 June 2017, at an ICC meeting in London, full ICC Membership was granted to Afghanistan. Alongside Ireland, this took the number of Test cricket playing nations to twelve. It is the first country to ever achieve Full Member status after holding Affiliate Membership of the ICC.

2006–07 ICC Intercontinental Cup International cricket tournament

The 2006–07 ICC Intercontinental Cup was the third edition of the ICC Intercontinental Cup first-class cricket tournament, an international cricket tournament between nations who have not been awarded Test status by the International Cricket Council. Defending champions Ireland won the tournament after three wins and one drawn game, defeating Canada by an innings in the final, and stretched their streak of unbeaten matches in the Intercontinental Cup to eight.

Cricket Canada

Cricket Canada, known as the Canadian Cricket Association (CCA) until November 2007, is the governing body of cricket in Canada. It was established in 1892 and has its current headquarters in Toronto, Ontario. It administers the national men's and women's teams as well as several youth teams at various age levels. In addition Cricket Canada and its affiliates run several grassroots and development programs and leagues across the country. Cricket Canada is Canada's representative at the International Cricket Council and has been an associate member of that body since 1968. It is included in the ICC Americas region.

International cricket in the 2006–07 cricket season is defined by major statisticians, such as CricketArchive and Wisden, as those matches played on tours that started between September 2006 and April 2007. Two major ICC tournaments are scheduled for this season, with the Champions Trophy played in October in India, and the World Cup taking place in West Indies in March. In addition, England will defend the Ashes when they go to Australia in November, and all the ten Test nations will be in action during November and December – though Zimbabwe, who are playing Bangladesh during this time, withdrew from Test matches throughout 2006 and will thus only be playing One-day International matches.

William Kyle McCallan, usually known as Kyle McCallan, is a former Irish cricketer. A right-handed batsman and off spin bowler, he has played more times for the Ireland cricket team than any other player, more than 40 caps ahead of the next player in the table, the retired Peter Gillespie. Only three players have captained Ireland more times than McCallan, and only Jason Molins has captained them to more wins. He has also played second XI cricket for Derbyshire and Surrey.

Cricket has been played in the Netherlands since at least the 19th century, and in the 1860s was considered a major sport in the country. The sport is governed by the Royal Dutch Cricket Association.

In 2005, the ground hosted two List A matches in the 2005 ICC Trophy. The first of these saw Denmark play the Netherlands, which resulted in a victory by six wickets for the Netherlands. The second of these saw Oman play the United States, which resulted three wicket victory for Oman.

2021 ICC Mens T20 World Cup 7th edition of the tournament

The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the seventh ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament, with the matches played in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from 17 October to 14 November 2021. The West Indies were the defending champions, but were eventually eliminated in the Super 12 stage.
