Theatre Pro Rata is a small, professional theatre company operating in the Twin Cities, United States. The company's name is derived from the term pro rata, which comes from the Latin for "in proportion." Their mission: To each of us: a foundation in the play, a pursuit of creative excellence, and a continuation of curiosity. [1]

Formed in 2000 under the artistic direction of Carin Bratlie, the company gained local notoriety with Trainspotting as part of the 2002 Minnesota Fringe Festival. Shortly thereafter, Theatre Pro Rata began to produce regular seasons and has taken up residence at the Gremlin Theatre in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

In 2008, Metamorphoses was named one of the top ten productions of the year by Lavender Magazine [2] and the set design for Killer Joe named among the best of 2008 by City Pages . [3] In April 2009, Theatre Pro Rata produced David Hare's translation of Bertolt Brecht's The Life of Galileo , coinciding with the International Year of Astronomy and featuring a gender-blind cast led by Noë Tallen in the title role.

Beginning in 2015 with their production of The Illusion by Tony Kushner, Theatre Pro Rata will perform one show of each season at Park Square Theatre's new Andy Boss Thrust Stage as part of a theatrical collaboration between the two companies.

Gremlin Theatre is a small, nonprofit, professional theatre company based in St. Paul, Minnesota, United States. Gremlin primarily performs actor-centered plays in the classic American style of realism, seeking, as their mission statement reads, "to provide artistically brilliant, accessible, and enjoyable theatrical experiences." Recently, Gremlin has turned its attention to producing new plays by local Twin Cities playwrights and to bringing Equity actors into their casts. They are the resident company at the Loading Dock a small theater space which was constructed out of an unused warehouse/loading space in the basement of the Renaissance Box, a former warehouse in St. Paul that has been retrofitted into an arts/office complex. The Margolis Brown Adaptors Company (MBAC) is an internationally touring physical theatre company that also houses the Margolis Method Training Center now located in Highland, New York. It was established in New York City in 1984 by Kari Margolis and Tony Brown. As co-artistic directors, Margolis and Brown have thus far co-authored, directed, and sometimes performed in 16 full-length theatrical productions, as well as numerous site-specific works at such places as the Brooklyn Museum, Coney Island, and the historic John A. The Riverview Theater is a cinema in the Howe neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Designed by Liebenberg and Kaplan, the theater was built by theater owners Bill and Sidney Volk in 1948. After building a subsequent theater in a new ultramodern style, the Volks returned to the Riverview in 1956 and had its lobby area heavily renovated and updated. The Riverview remains one of several surviving single-screen cinemas in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area and typically showed second-run films until the COVID-19 pandemic, when it switched to showing first-run movies. Since the early 2000s, it has been consistently recognized by City Pages as one of the best movie theaters in the area.

Carl Flink is an American choreographer, dancer, director and academic based in Minneapolis, MN USA. He is the founder and artistic director of Black Label Movement, a contemporary dance company based in Minneapolis. He is also the Nadine Jette Sween Professor of Dance and director of the dance program at University of Minnesota. Flink was a member of the Jose Limón Dance Company from 1992 to 1998, among other NYC based dance companies including Creach/Koester Men Dancing, Janis Brenner & Dancers and Nina Winthrop & Dancers. He has been a frequent guest artist with Shapiro & Smith Dance.
