Thermae Romae is a 2012 live-action film adaptation of Japanese manga Thermae Romae , which was produced by Fuji TV and it released on April 28, 2012. [3] [4] A second film, Thermae Romae II , was released in 2014. [5]

As of July 29, the film had a box office gross of US$74,091,903. [7] It was the second highest-grossing domestic film at the Japanese box office in 2012 [8] and, as of January 5, 2015, is the 95th highest-grossing film in Japan, with ¥5.98 billion. [9]

Hiroshi Abe won Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for the film at the 36th Japan Academy Film Prize presentation. Thermae Romae also received a nomination for Mitsuo Harada's art direction at the same awards.

Thermae Romae earned HK$1,498,789 at the Hong Kong box office. [10]

The film had its North American premiere in September 2012 at the Toronto International Film Festival. [11] [12]

Mari Yamazaki is a Japanese manga artist known for her seinen comedy manga Thermae Romae. She was born in Tokyo, but spent many years in Italy and now lives in Italy and Japan. Between 2003 and 2013 she lived in Syria, Portugal and the United States.

It was released on 8 August 2014. It is the highest-grossing film of the Doraemon franchise. Bang Zoom! Entertainment premiered an English-dubbed version of the film at the Tokyo International Film Festival on 24 October 2014. The English version features the cast of the Disney XD show Doraemon: Gadget Cat From the Future. A different English version with local actors was distributed by Multivision Pictures Entertainment and VIVA International Pictures for a Filipino audience in 2015, however is currently lost. Otoko no Isshō is a slice of life romance josei manga series written and illustrated by Keiko Nishi. It was published by Shogakukan on Flowers magazine and in four volumes compiling the chapters. A live action romantic drama film adaptation was released on February 14, 2015. It's directed by Ryūichi Hiroki and written by Hiroshi Saitō. It stars Nana Eikura and Etsushi Toyokawa.
