The Senate is the upper house of the Parliament of Rwanda (Kinyarwanda : Inteko Ishinga Amategeko; French : Parlement) and has 26 members: [1]

Utah State Legislature

The Utah State Legislature is the state legislature of the U.S. state of Utah. It is a bicameral body, comprising the Utah House of Representatives, with 75 state representatives, and the Utah Senate, with 29 state senators. There are no term limits for either chamber.

Senate (Rwanda) upper house of the Rwandan Parliament

The upper house of the Parliament of Rwanda is the Senate (Sena/Sénat). The Senate has 26 members elected or appointed for eight-year terms: 12 elected by provincial and sectoral councils, 8 appointed by the President of the Republic to ensure the representation of historically marginalized communities, 4 by the Forum of political parties, and 2 elected by the staff of the universities. Additionally, former presidents can request to become a member of the Senate.

A senator for life is a member of the senate or equivalent upper chamber of a legislature who has life tenure. As of 2018, six Italian Senators out of 321, three out of the 47 Burundian Senators and all members of the British House of Lords have lifetime tenure. Several South American countries once granted lifetime membership to former presidents but have since abolished the practice.

Michelle Stennett is a Democratic Idaho State Senator for District 26 (Ketchum) since 2010. She was elected to the Idaho Senate in 2010, succeeding her late husband Clint Stennett. Stennett currently serves as senate minority leader.

The New Jersey Senate is the upper house of the New Jersey Legislature. The 2018–2019 term begins on January 9, 2018 and will end on January 14, 2020. The Senators elected to this term were elected on November 7, 2017 and will serve until the end of the next term in 2020. This session was preceded by the 2016–2017 session and will be followed by the 2020–2021 session.

Donatille Mukabalisa Rwandan politician

Donatille Mukabalisa is a Rwandan lawyer and politician, notably the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies. She was elected Speaker of the Rwandan parliament in 2013 after the country's national elections.

The second legislature of the Rwandan Senate commenced in 2011 and ended in 2019.

Médiatrice Ahishakiye is a Rwandan politician, currently a member of the Chamber of Deputies in the Parliament of Rwanda.

Christine Bakundufite is a Rwandan politician and economist, currently a member of the Chamber of Deputies in the Parliament of Rwanda.

Eugène Barikana s a Rwandan politician, currently a member of the Chamber of Deputies in the Parliament of Rwanda.

Pélagie Uwera is a Rwandan politician. Since 2019 she has been a member of the Senate of Rwanda, elected as a Senator for Southern Province.

Marie Rose Mureshyankwano is a Rwandan politician. She was an MP from 2005 to 2016. Since 2019 she has been a member of the Senate of Rwanda, elected as a Senator for Western Province.

Laetitia Nyinawamwiza is a Rwandan academic and politician. She has held several adacemic administrative positions, and since 2019 has been a member of the Senate of Rwanda, elected as a Senator for Northern Province.
