Thomas Fraser (1872 - 1951) was a Scottish physician, who studied the effects of giving people extracts of fish pancreatic islets of Langerhans.
A graduate of the University of Aberdeen, he became a well-known medical doctor, teacher, and administrator in northern Scotland. [1] During World War I, he served as lieutenant colonel, commanding the 89th (1st Highland) Ambulance, and was present at the Landing at Cape Helles. [1] Later he served in France and London, and was awarded the Distinguished Service Order and Order of the British Empire. [1] Between 1939 and 1942, he was president of the British Medical Association. [2] [3]
Guy Fawkes, also known as Guido Fawkes while fighting for the Spanish, was a member of a group of provincial English Catholics involved in the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605. He was born and educated in York; his father died when Fawkes was eight years old, after which his mother married a recusant Catholic.

Lord Lovat is a title of the rank Lord of Parliament in the Peerage of Scotland. It was created in 1458 for Hugh Fraser by summoning him to the Scottish Parliament as Lord Fraser of Lovat, although the holder is referred to simply as Lord Lovat. It was a separate title from the Scottish feudal lordship of Lovat, already held by the highland Frasers. In 1837 they were created a third title, Baron Lovat, of Lovat in the County of Inverness, in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. The holder is separately and independently the Chief of the highland Clan Fraser of Lovat.
Baron Burden, of Hazlebarrow in the County of Derby, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1950 for the Labour politician Thomas Burden. He had previously represented Sheffield Park in the House of Commons and after his elevation to the peerage served as a Lord-in-waiting from 1950 to 1951 in the Labour administration of Clement Attlee.

The Lord-Lieutenant of Inverness is the British monarch's personal representative in an area which has been defined since 1975 as consisting of the local government districts of Inverness, Badenoch and Strathspey, and Lochaber, in Scotland, and this definition was renewed by the Lord-Lieutenants (Scotland) Order 1996. The area of the lieutenancy used to be the county of Inverness, which was abolished as a local government area by Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.
