It divides the Martian year into 24 months of 27 or 28 Martian days, with month names alternating between Latin and Sanskrit zodiac constellations, such as Virgo and Kanya. To align with Martian seasons, even-numbered years have 668 days (except those divisible by 10), while odd-numbered years have 669 days, producing an average year length of 668.6 Martian days. [4]
