Thomas J. Haynes is a major general in the Rhode Island Air National Guard. [1]
Haynes was commissioned an officer in the United States Air Force in 1971. [2] In 1972, he was assigned to the 55th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron at McClellan Air Force Base. He remained there until 1975, when he was transferred to the 54th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron at Andersen Air Force Base. Haynes was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base from 1978 until 1980, when he transferred to the Rhode Island Air National Guard and was assigned to the 143d Airlift Wing. From 1982 to 1993, he served with the 143rd Airlift Squadron. During that time, he was deployed to serve in the Gulf War. Haynes eventually assumed command of the 143rd Wing in 2000. Later, he was deployed to serve in the War on Terror. From 2006 to 2008, Haynes served as Air National Guard Advisor to Plans and Programs of Air Mobility Command. Also during that time, Haynes was Assistant Adjutant General for Air of the Rhode Island National Guard. In 2008, Haynes was named Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander of Air Mobility Command.
Awards he has received include the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Air Force Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Air Force Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Outstanding Unit Award, the Combat Readiness Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the National Defense Service Medal with two service stars, the Southwest Asia Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Air Force Overseas Short Tour Service Ribbon with oak leaf cluster, the Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with gold frame, the Air Force Longevity Service Award with silver oak leaf cluster, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with silver hourglass device, mobilization device and award numeral "2"; the Small Arms Marksmanship Ribbon with service star and the Air Force Training Ribbon.
The 143d Airlift Wing is a unit of the Rhode Island Air National Guard, stationed at Quonset Point Air National Guard Station, Rhode Island. If activated to federal service, the Wing is gained by the United States Air Force Air Mobility Command.

Major General Trulan Arthur Eyre received his USAF regular commission in 1979 as a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. He has served in numerous assignments in flying and operations, as well as command positions at squadron, group, and wing levels. He also served as the United States Air Force F-16 European Demonstration pilot and the deputy director of the Air Coordination and Control Element, US Embassy, Baghdad, Iraq. Eyre joined the Colorado Air National Guard in 1988 as a traditional member. He is a command pilot with over 4000 hours in the A-7, C-21, F-16, and T-38 including more than 100 combat hours. He is also the oldest active pilot flying the F-16 in any branch of the United States Military.
Brigadier General José M. Portela (Ret.),, is a retired officer of the United States Air Force who recently retired from the position of Assistant Adjutant General for Air, which he held while also serving as commander of the Puerto Rico Air National Guard. In 1972, Portela became the youngest C-141 Starlifter aircraft commander and captain at age 22. Portela is also the only reservist ever to serve as director of mobility forces for Bosnia. He is also the first native of Puerto Rico to hold the rank of Brigadier General in the United States Air Force Reserve.
Major General Donald P. Dunbar is Wisconsin's former Adjutant General. He commanded the Wisconsin National Guard and is in the United States Air National Guard. Dunbar was responsible for Emergency Management in the state. He also served as Wisconsin's Homeland Security Advisor, chairs the Homeland Security Council, and served as the senior state official for cyber matters. Dunbar also served on the executive committees of the Governor's Homeland Security Advisors Council (GHSAC) and the Adjutants General Association of the United States (AGAUS), and is a member of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Advisory Council. With the retirement of Major General Thaddeus J. Martin of the Connecticut National Guard on June 30, 2018, General Dunbar became the longest serving Adjutant General in the United States. At the request of Governor Tony Evers, Dunbar resigned his post in the Wisconsin National Guard on December 9, 2019, for intentionally ignoring orders requiring outside investigations into claims of sexual assault and harassment as required by state and federal law and U.S. Department of Defense regulations.

Previously assignments include commander of the 115th Fighter Wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard.
