Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, Thomas Wharton received a master's degree in music at the University of West Virginia before moving to New York City. He then studied art and design at The Art Student's League, the School of Visual Arts, the New York Studio School, and Parsons. His paintings have won The Georgie Read Barton Award from the Hudson Valley Art Association, The Katlin Seascape Award and the Windsor Newton Award from the Salmagundi Club.[ citation needed ]
Thomas Wharton co-founded Adventure House Communications Group with business partner Robert Lowe in 1990. Adventure House has partnered with Cambridge University Press to design educational books for fifteen years. Adventure House has also completed design and branding projects for New York Stock Exchange, MasterCard, McGraw-Hill, Clarins, Lifetime Television, Citigroup, The Girl Scouts, and Simon & Schuster.
In 1991, Thomas Wharton wrote and illustrated the children's book Hildegard Sings about an opera singing hippo who aspires to be an opera star. Publishers Weekly describes the book as a "lighthearted and triumphant tale" [1] while Kirkus sees it as "an excellent way to introduce kids to the opera." [2]
Thomas Wharton and Robert Lowe then established One Hundred Robots, an iOS application development and publishing company. Their first iOS application, The Night Before Christmas, was released in December 2010. Their next release, Cinderella - A Princess Story was in April 2011. [3] Hildegard Sings, an adaptation of the original book, which was released as an app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch on June 23, 2011.

Apple Books is an e-book reading and store application by Apple Inc. for its iOS, iPadOS and macOS operating systems and devices. It was announced, under the name iBooks, in conjunction with the iPad on January 27, 2010, and was released for the iPhone and iPod Touch in mid-2010, as part of the iOS 4 update. Initially, iBooks was not pre-loaded onto iOS devices, but users could install it free of charge from the iTunes App Store. With the release of iOS 8, it became an integrated app. On June 10, 2013, at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, Craig Federighi announced that iBooks would also be provided with OS X Mavericks in fall 2013.

OscilloScoop is an interactive music app for iOS that runs on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch, available through the iTunes App Store. The app presents a real-time interface for creating electronic music in various electronic music genres from hip hop to techno and house. The app is designed with a minimalist modern interface of three colored crowns, that spin like potters' wheels. Touching each crown affects the parameters of the audio. The top crown controls pitch, the middle a low pass resonant filter, and the bottom a fader. Controls on the left allow one to change the bassline beat, while buttons on the right allow the user to save their creation, and a slider below controls tempo.

In the game's 100 levels, the player interacts with different types of circles to bring a counter to the number 100. The game was developed and published by Semi Secret Software in collaboration with Greg Wohlwend and was released for iOS on January 7, 2013, and on Android later that year.
