C. V. Kumar is an Indian Tamil film producer, director and distributor who heads the production studio Thirukumaran Entertainment. Known for producing innovative and critically acclaimed films, Kumar has also primarily introduced new talent into the film industry in terms of actors and technicians. His first three films, Attakathi, Pizza and Soodhu Kavvum won critical acclaim as well as bringing in revenue of over ₹50 crore (US$6.3 million). After producing successful films, Kumar began work on his first directorial venture in 2014.

This film has Vivek Rajgopal who played the role of Karthik and Megha Burman, the lead heroine is a Mumbai based model who has already done ad films for many leading brands. It is loosely based on the love story of director and his wife.

The film, produced by Vijay Antony himself, was filmed by N. Om, director Anand's younger brother and features music scored by Deena Devarajan, Antony's former associate. College Kumar is a 2020 Indian comedy film written and directed by Hari Santhosh. A remake of director's own 2017 Kannada film of the same name, it was simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu languages, with Prabhu starring in Tamil and Rajendra Prasad replacing him in Telugu. Rahul Vijay, Priya Vadlamani and Madhoo co-star in both versions. College Kumar was released on 6 March 2020 in both languages.
Vettai Naai is a 2021 Tamil language action drama film directed by S. Jai Shankar and produced by Surabi P. Jothi Murugan. The film stars R. K. Suresh, Ramki and Subiksha in the lead roles. Produced by Surabi Pictures, it was released on 26 February 2021.
Take Diversion is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by Sivaani Senthil and starring Sivakumar, Padine Kumar, Ramachandran Durairaj and John Vijay. It was released on 20 May 2022.
