Tiaan Marx (born 17 March 1986) is a South African rugby union footballer. He plays for White River Rugby Club in the Gold Cup, South Africa. He plays mostly as a centre.

Rugby union, widely known simply as rugby, is a contact team sport which originated in England in the first half of the 19th century. One of the two codes of rugby football, it is based on running with the ball in hand. He has played for the Leopards, Sharks and Pumas, making close to 100 appearances.

The Leopards is a South African rugby union team that participates in the annual Currie Cup tournament, currently playing in the First Division. Their home ground is Olën Park in Potchefstroom. They draw their players from the North West Province. The union was formed in 1920 and was originally called Western Transvaal.

The Sharks are a South African rugby union team that participates in the annual Currie Cup tournament. The Sharks' home stadium is Kings Park Stadium. They draw most of their players from the KwaZulu-Natal Province. The Sharks are the current representative team of the Natal Rugby Union, founded in 1890. The team is the fourth most successful provincial union in the country, having won the Currie Cup title eight times.

Pumas (rugby team) South African provincial rugby union team

The Pumas are a South African rugby union team that competes in the Premier Division of the Currie Cup and the Northern Section of the Vodacom Cup. The team draws their players from Mpumalanga Province and plays at the Mbombela Stadium in Mbombela, having previously also played at the Puma Stadium in Witbank.

He was released by the Pumas at the end of the 2013 season. [1]
